The best wine cellar I have ever been to. This was the most expensive restaurant we have ever eaten at and probably the least worth it. We came here in 2008 and yes unfortunately it took me a while to write this review but I do want to give my 2 cents.

The service was impeccable unfortunately the food was just ok. I believe we had 12 dishes that evening and a lot of dessert. At that time this restaurant was actually a 3 star michellin and I am not surprise it is just now a 2 star. Portion were to big for the amount of food we were tasting, i shouldnt complain about this but by the time we had our 7th dish I was really having a tough time moving on with dinner. We had to take a 30 minute break ... then continue on.

Although the food was a disappointment, the fact that they allowed us to view their wine cellar and for me to see wines that are never ever seen was a big treat for me. I even got to take a picture with the champagne bottle that the italy soccer team drank after their world soccer win in 2006.

I can't think of anybody who dare to deny the service is outstanding and the food great; however I have to say that euro 620 for a dinner (menu degustazione) with only one bottle water and one glass of wine is in my opinion too much!!! Also in my opinion, two Michelin stars are too many!!!
We are not connoisseurs of wine, but they have a very large and impressive menu (I should have said "book") of wines and then at the end of your dinner they give you a tour through their wines cave which is fantastic. They even have a menu for water! (all sorts of water from different parts of the world)

The largest and most fabulous private winecellar in Europe. But €10.000 for a magnum of 1950 Petrus? Well, I guess if you are a Russian oligarch .... The Degustation was brilliant and do believe that they had wines to fit many a wallet. One of the best in the world and the service was as friendly as could be.

Service staff greeting you on the street and leading you into the restaurant adds a regal touch. The highlight of our experience here was the service. Staff were always attentive, smiley and pleasant. The menu description was very simple, nothing really jumped out of the page for me so we went with the 9-course tasting option. While the first 2-3 courses had very delicate flavors, the next 2 were over-salted and confused. Particularly the partridge with radish , accompanied by a wad of super-salty bacon that did not belong. Also, they left the inedible foot of the animal on, which is unsightly for plating. As my husband sums it up: courses taste nice, but not memorable. For a restaurant of this repertoire, I expect top-notch everything, and I do not forgive lack in judgement for flavor. While other restaurants try to innovate, create and explore new flavor profiles, this one seems to be happy to be stuck in a bubble of 1980s fine dining. We've come a long way in gastronomy and this is not the markings of a leader of industry.

Stunning food. Special in every way. Staff lovely. Glasses never empty. Sandro is a wonderful host. My favourite was the white wine. This restaurant is the only in the world which stocks this particular one. Perfect
