My family and I had the pleasure of staying in the Eden Rock Resort in Florence last month. We found it to be an oasis of quiet and calm. While Florence is beautiful, it is also a very busy city. The Eden Rock looks over Florence, providing a stunning view, yet is in a peaceful garden area. The pool is gorgeous, and is by a restaurant/bar that provides excellent poolside service. We particularly liked the jets in the pool that provided a relaxing massage.

Our room had a balcony with a breathtaking view of Florence. The gardens around the hotel are lush and tropical.

A little-known secret is the guests-only restaurant. We ate most meals there, and found the service terrific and the food excellent.

The staff is wonderful. They are helpful and friendly. If you need anything, they make sure you have it.

I should also mention the wifi. Internet in Italy is somewhat difficult. The wifi at the hotel was quite good.

Overall, I'd recommend the Eden Rock to anyone who wants to find peace and paradise in beautiful Florence.

We spent at Eden Rock Resort 3 nights from the 4th to the 7th of July and we stayed in the Imperial Suite.
What we enjoyed:
We loved the place located in a fantastic spot with a breathtaking view of Florence and the surrounding hills; The staff very helpful, friendly and courteous (a special mention goes to Alessandro); Very spacious room; The building really interesting architecturally; Small boutique hotel not at overcrowded, ideal for relaxing!
What disappointed us:
Being such a fantastic place and considering that we paid nearly 500 Euro a night for 2 adults and a child (incl. breakfast) we think it should offer more. More staff is definitely required as we did notice many maintenance issues. Rooms are very clean but for example nearly every second curtains in the room was not working. On one day we had to use the pool toilet at around 10.30am and it had not been cleaned yet; we notice that the container with liquid soap was empty. After a couple of hours we used the toilet again, toilet had been cleaned very quickly and soap was still missing. Often reception was unattended as receptionist had to also help with other issues such as helping guests with baggage. Unfortunately, even though the staff is very efficient and professional, the expected level of service for the money paid is not always guaranteed due to the shortness of staff. Breakfast is very good, with good produces. A wider variety will help anyway. Breakfast is between 7.30 and 10.30am; every morning at 9.30am some items were missing. The restaurant offers fabulous dishes such as Tagliolini with Truffle Cream but then again you may get a very salty Risotto or a dessert not yet set which should not be served at all.
The question is: Is Eden Rock resort a B&B or a Hotel? We still do not know the answer.
It felt like it was a great B&B that charges like a 5 Star hotel (last year we paid the same per night in a 5 star hotel in Piazza S.Maria Novella) or like a 5 Star Hotel that gives you a service in between a B&B and a luxury hotel.
Can't stay with two foot in a shoe.

My husband and I recently visited Tuscany in June and in planning our holiday, we wanted a special place outside the city but not too far from the center. We love the Tuscan architecture but also enjoy modern conveniences and services. We found that at Eden Rock Resort and Daniele, the leading man, made our stay complete. Not the easiest resort to find, but not to many places are, unless you have a GPS. He greeted us on arrival and showed us around and helped us with great suggestions on the ins and outs of the city. We had a lovely suite with a quiet bedroom, a large lounge, a small kitchenette, and a balcony to write home about with a view of the city of Firenze from up high on a hillside. The views were spectacular, hence called, the Panoramic Suite. This was by far the nicest room and each late afternoon we sat on our balcony sipping wine and taking in the beauty of Tuscany. High marks for this resort, a great place to relax with all the comforts and charm without a lot of fuss. We will surely tell all of Eden Rock if they are to visit Tuscany! Thanks Daniele!!!

Room Tip: Panoramic Suite simply divine!
