Stayed here as part of a topdeck trip with 50 other people, the place was about a 20min walk into town but the rooms were horrible- Aircon did not work, we had old band-aids (plasters) holding light switches together, mould in the bathrooms and bugs everywere. Please pay a bit more for a better hotel. Other people in the trip had bedbugs all over them in the morning so i guess our room could have been worse.

Just before I left I checked the references about this hotel on tripadvisor and then I started to be worried. I was reading about that the people weren't nice, that there were cockroaches and rooms were not clean and it was unsafe. So maybe my expectations were low but I experienced the place as all right. I stayed there by myself. The people were friendly, the room was clean and cleaned every day. It's a 20 minute walk to Ponte Veccio but your close to Piazza Michelangelo.
If you are away all day and not to attached to luxury this place had a reasonable quality-price balance. They just have strange uncomfortable towels, it like you dry yourself with a sheet. And bringing something against mosquito's might be a good idea.

We stayed here as part of a Topdeck Tour with 40+ people.

From the very beginning we were not impressed by this hotel. The front of the hotel looks pretty dodgy and when you walk in to reception the lady behind the front desk was quite rude. At one point they had a young girl on and she was just as bad! No customer service skills whatsoever!

Our room was quite large and spacious (but that's probably the only good thing about it). We were excited to be given a queen bed, but like most other hotels in Europe, it's just two single beds pushed together. In order to get the air circulating in our room, we had to open the doors to the balcony. This is not at all safe. If you left the room unattended (which we wouldn't) and the doors open, anyone could easily climb up a story and access your room.

The bathroom was so tiny and very scabby! They fit all the amenities in, with just a little bit of room for you to walk from the toilet to the shower. The shower was filthy - mould and hair everywhere! The shower head squirted water everywhere, except on your body! The worst I have ever seen.

The next day we went out and came back in to find dirty sheets and towels all through the hallways. Instead of having a trolley for all these dirty sheets/towels, they just left them lying around for all to see and smell (yuck!).

They offered wi-fi, however it was very over priced and very slow. It wasn't even worth the purchase! It is only available near reception.

Tips:
1. Don't purchase their over-rated and expensive wi-fi! You're just wasting your money. Wait for the next hotel (if you're on tour). Chances are they have free and fast wi-fi!

2. Don't expect your towels to dry over-night. With no air circulation in the room, they won't dry.

3. Don't leave personal items out. The hotel attendants looked pretty dodgy and I wouldn't trust them. Lock everything away when leaving the room.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour group of 20-somethings.
On arrival, our first thought was that our room was large and spacious. That's about where the good things end.
Our room was infested with mosquitos. There were even dead ones squished on the walls by past guests, no attempt to clean them off had been made.
We spent our first night killing any that came near us, and kept our windows firmly closed. The next day, after a day of sightseeing, we came back to find that housekeeping had opened our bathroom window and our room was infested again. Not impressed!
The wallpaper was water stained and peeling, beds were hard and lumpy, shower pressure and temperature was good but shower did not drain well and plughole did not look hygenic.
Breakfast was sub-par. Breads seemed stale, and cereal was left out overnight with bugs flying everywhere.
Wifi was expensive, slow, and only available in the lobby.
The only other positive thing was that the hotel is a short walk from town.
We would not stay again.

This hotel was basic and non-offensive. Rooms were large and bathrooms were clean. On the down side the hotel was a bit run down. This hotel charges for wifi access which is only available from the lobby.

This hotel is located a 30 min walk from the heart of Florence.

Stayed here for one night as part of a Topdeck tour. Room appeared very dirty and old. Çlean towels had been placed on the toilet seat instead of on towel rail. New towels were provided. Internet only available in very small lobby. 4 euro for 1 hour. Would not recommend
