Had a very pleasant 2 days in September with 2 children at Galileo 2000. Very comfortable and clean with large rooms. Had 2 large rooms. Felt very safe, good restaurants nearby. Good value for money. Would strongly recommend.

I didn't see the last comment for this B&B before I booked and when I saw it afterwards I was kind of worried about it. Fortunately, I can only be happy to have booked this great B&B in Florence ! The rooms are big and decorated with old furniture which gives you the feeling that you are in an historic building. Actually, you're staying in a very old building with painted ceilings ! But the comfort is very modern (obviously the rooms have been updated recently) and reaches very high standards : my bathroom had a jacuzzi system ! I learned that the management has changed end of 2009-beginning of 2010. For breakfast, the offer is good with cereals, fruits, yogurts, jam, choice of coffee, tea or chocolate, and even some ham and salami for people who like salty breakfast. But it is still a typical Italian breakfast so don't expect fresh croissants or fresh orange juice ! Be prepared to try all sorts of pastries and biscuits packaged under plastic and to taste the 30% juice drinks that are typical of B&B and hotels in Italy. I had the summer promotion but even the standard rate is probably worth it. So I will of course stay there for my next visits: this an excellent value for money B&B ! And it's right in the centre of Florence, one step from Piazza della Signora...

Excellent rooms, Great air conditioning compared to others we stayed at. Large rooms, with good location. Staff was very helpful and tried to help anyway they could, but not much English. I would stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights in august 2007 at this Inn. The inn is very well located in the center of Florence.
The rooms are quite big and comfortable and very well decorated. If you are looking for a very Italian baroque decoration and fully feel in Flornce this is the perfect place.
Breakfast was ok and served in a table next to the lobby were you can take a sit.
There were a couple of things that weren't perfect though.
The maids cleaning the rooms in the morning had a radio that was blasting music which was very unpleasant. Unfortunately the inn keeper wasn't there as she was still sleeping. Now that's another problem with this inn since the inn keeper is rarely available and sleeps late in the morning. Price was a little over average but the inn is more luxurious then most inns in Florence. With a little enhancement in service this place could be perfect. We enjoyed the inn and would gladly stay here again even if there were some flaws.

This B&B is overpriced and better options exist nearby. The manager tried to charge us an extra night and we had to prove our reservation did not include the extra night. The room was fine and functional. Location is good. Breakfast was good. Coffee was the below par. Construction was going on in building at the time and we were not informed ahead of time. If an afternoon nap or any lingering in the room would have been impossible.
