Owner description: The Accidental Tourist was born in the spring of 1998 offering the first single-day hands-on cooking class in Tuscany. We welcome the curious and open-minded traveler in the heart of our Tuscan home, for an authentic yet magical experience. We take a maximum of 8 people, but will go with as few as one: we never leave the solo traveler behind. We welcome families with children as we know how challenging it can be to travel with the young ones in the Old Country. AND, we charge for our tours only if our guests are happy to pay for their day with us.

By far one of the best days of our 2-week European vacation was our day spent on the Accidental Tourist wine tour and cooking class. Alex was a kind and knowledgeable guide and Christianna was a generous host. For those who want to experience the beautiful Tuscan countryside with just a small group, taste delicious wine and olive oil and actually prepare homemade pasta, this is the trip for you. We will definitely recommend Accidental Tourist to friends!

We spent 15 days touring around Italy most of that time was spent with other family members and the entire trip was a blast. But this cooking class was one of the great highlights of our trip. Alex and Christina were wonderful so generous and so kind. The food was fabulous. I would highly recommend The Accidental Tourist, it's a great experience.

Had a fabulous day with the 'Accidental Tourist' team doing the pasta making course. Thanks to Steve for driving us, teaching us the pasta making and being a fabulous host. Thanks to our wonderful cook and hostess for some sublime food and wine. The views were breathtaking and a warm breeze plus sun made it an idyllic setting in which to make our very own pasta lunch. This is a must do activity when in Tuscany and I heartily recommend it to anyone.

I took my mother away as a surprise for her 50th birthday and we took the food and wine tour, which exceeded both of our expectations, it was quite simply superb. We had such an incredible day and it was easily the best money and time I have spent on holiday. We loved it. Thank you to Majla and her husband for an amazing day. The food, wine, scenery, atmosphere, history and cooking lesson were all fantastic. Thank you for such a lovely, lovely day! I cannot praise this experience highly enough! You must go!

This was a wonderful 9-5 day spent with a most gracious hostess, who was friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and very easy to talk with. Majla conveniently picked us up in Florence, and we had a relaxing drive through the vineyards and olive groves to the winery. After our morning tour, we tasted the wines and olive oil before going to Majla's and Marco's beautiful home that has been in Majla's family for 6 generations. There, we made our own ravioli and fettuccine from a few simple ingredients. We enjoyed a wonderful 4 course meal together that Marco cooked. We would highly recommend this full day tour! It will be a day you won't forget!
