“Excellent value for your dollar”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

Four Rooms is a clean, modern & spacious stay. The location couldn't be better - minutes on foot to all major sites. Sogol was a very nice host - made us feel welcome! A few glitches with poor functioning A/C as it was ++ humid as well as the tv didn't work, but didn't really disrupt out stay ... There were small snacks, chips and tea/coffee available 24 hr/day in the dining room. We would for sure go back! Great great value for your dollar...

This "bed and breakfast" is literally four rooms in an apartment. It's a weird place, kind of dumpy, but in a great location and you can get a good price. Weirdest thing: no one actually works here. When we arrived we rang the buzzer many times and finally just called the phone number on the sign outside (luckily we had a cell phone!) and the woman told us we should have called ahead! Then someone came to check us in who didn't speak english. The air conditioning is literally useless and there is a lot of noise when you open the windows. So it was hot and hoisy in the room during our whole stay. There is no elevator so you must carry your bags up several steps. The shower is so small it can barely fit an adult human being. The "breakfast" is weird old prepackaged pastries and a coffee machine with packaged non-refrigerated milk. We can't believe the reviews on trip advisor are so high - they do not seem genunie or are maybe just based on just price/location, but they misled us. The "all day snacks" are a jar of potato chips and biscuits that could have been there for years.

Amazing value for money, lovely large rooms with modern bathrooms in amazing central but quiet location. Rooms cleaned every day, even bottles of water provided in room. Would definetly recommend, we were lucky to find this place.

In Florence you cant get a better location right at the Ponte Vecchio, in the heart of Florence. The rooms were very large for European rooms, the had very clean bathrooms although the showers were European size, small. The shared kitchen has access all day coffee/snacks. If you are thinking a buffet styled breakfast, then this is not the place, there are snacks and pastries, cereal and fruit and coffee. Best buy some milk and keep it on the fridge in the room for cereal.

We had a great time except for the last night when the Hotel restaurant across the the way had a party and the noise was very loud

I would stay there again and we had a great time

Room Tip: If noise bothers you, get the one room that is not on the street.

This four-room B&B is an absolute gem right by Ponte Vecchio, in the heart of Florence. The structure is quite modern in an old building, with very clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. There's a shared kitchen with all day coffee/snacks. There isn't a buffet breakfast, just some pastries and great coffee. Everything is self-service. There is a cleaning lady every morning who helps with any queries you may have. The owner, Eva, is such a sweetheart and a very helpful lady. She also owns a delish restaurant 'round the corner, La Posta, which serves authentic Tuscan food.
The Wi-Fi connection at the B&B is free and excellent.
There are maps at the reception free for all, and some brochures available for any tours; wine, bikes, cooking, etc.

My only negative experiences was the noisy neighbourhood, after all, you're in downtown!
And, the cold in the room... there is some silly law in Florence that all heating should be turned off from mid April... But I asked for an extra blanket and was perfectly fine.

I truely recommend this place if you're on the go, and like me, spending most of your time in meetings outside.

Room Tip: Room # 4 is the biggest and quietest.

This was a very nice place to stay. Convenient and friendly. Anna made great breakfasts and took care of whatever needed to be done. Hosts Eva and Enzo also have a nice restaurant La Posta near the Republican Plaza. Or there is a wonderful Hosteria Desico near by where you can be treated like a local. Internet is available and this is definitely a place to return to whenever we are back in Firenze.

Four Rooms B&B is great value in a great location (one street from the river; a few steps from the Ponte Vecchio). And we loved Anna, who takes great care of everyone staying there, and keeps the place spotless, too.

All four rooms can be made up as a double or a twin. All four rooms have ample bedroom space (room 3 is big enough to be made up as a triple, if needed), with a table and two chairs as well as a large wardrobe. Rooms 1 and 2 have small bathrooms very a very small shower. Room 3 has a larger bathroom and larger shower--with the added bonus of facing a quieter piazza.

There is free internet access from the PC in the breakfast room, and wireless access from the rooms if you bring your own PC. There are always little treats around, as well as tea & coffee making facilities in each room.

The only downside--the windows really don't keep the noise out and rooms 1,2 and 4 face the street. There can be a lot of noise--especially on Saturday nights.
