“Happy to stay at this hotel, great location!”
Reviewed July 24, 2012

We stayed at this hotel 3 days 2 night during our visit in Florence last June. It's a nice hotel in European old style building, but the interior part of the hotel is contemporary. Between the lobby and the Lounge, there's an area with contemporary paintings, it feels like staying in a gallery. One of the important reasons why we choose this hotel; there's public parking next to the hotel. Staff is helpful and friendly. They helped us to get restaurant reservation on busy Saturday night. They're very informative giving us advice about places to be visited in Florence. Breakfast at the coffee shop is quite good. Italian breakfast. Staff at the coffee shop is also helpful and friendly. The drinks at the Lounge is good too.

Dear Ekristanti,

Your positive words are very much appreciated and so pleased you had an opportunity to enjoy our very central location, the design and the staff. We do look to create an informal home-away-from-home experience for all our guests, however that should not impact on a professional, attentive service at all times.
We’re also delighted that you had an opportunity to enjoy the great cocktails in Bar, we have an amazing mixology team who always love to blend old favourites with a new modern twist.

We look forward to welcoming you back, business or leisure.

Best Regards,
Dott.ssa Alessandra Flora

A group of us stayed in this lovely hotel for one night as a stop-off on our way to Siena, and we wished we could have stayed for longer!

The location was excellent - very close to the Duomo, and the centre of Florence, and only a short taxi ride away from the airport (about 20 euros).

From the moment that we arrived, the staff were excellent - friendly, helpful, and informative. We arrived with one extra guest than planned, but even though the hotel was originally fully booked, they let us know as soon as there was a cancellation, and reserved him a room.

The hotel itself is lovely - everything was very clean, the rooms may not have been the largest, but were lovely and modern, the beds were comfy and the hotel was very quiet at night. We particularly enjoyed the cocktail bar (and our custom-made cocktails), and the sauna and steam room downstairs - unfortunately the hot-tub was out of order when we arrived, but while I'm sure this would have been lovely, the rest of the facilities were so excellent it really made no difference to us!

We got up a little bit late for breakfast, but even though they were closing up the restaurant, the staff let us take some food back up to our rooms, and it was lovely - very varied.

As we only had a short time in Florence, I would love to return for longer next time - and I will definitely stay here!

Some Friends and I were going to a wedding in Siena so we decided to stay in Florence for a day and see the sights. Compared to other hotels the Borghese Art is unequalled for price, location and overall aesthetics. It is a modern slick hotel, which appealed to us. The foyer is airy with amazing sculptures and beautiful art works. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the interior design is completely unique.

I would definitely recommend the Borghese Art Hotel to anyone who wishes a 5 star experience in a four star hotel.

We spent four nights at the Borghese Palace Art Hotel in late June/early July and had a fantastic stay. We loved the decor/atmosphere and the staff was extremely helpful. They booked us a great wine tour, dinner reservations, provided easy-to-follow directions - they did it all! The only reason I'm not giving the Borghese five stars is because the hotel does not have in-room WIFI, which we would have loved. They do have WIFI in the lobby, but it wasn't the strongest signal. Beyond that, everything was great - the room was more than comfortable, the location was ideal (you can walk everywhere!) and the neighborhood had some really fantastic restaurants. Definitely recommend staying here if you want a trendy experience!

I stayed for one night and no complaints. The staff was great, and the room pleasant but very small. Location is excellent. The art part of the hotel was sort of terrible, but it wasn't such a drawback.

My wife and I have just returned from spending a week at this hotel. The location is perfect for visiting all the main sites in Florence. All are within easy walking distance and we are in our 60’s. We found all the staff both friendly and helpful particularly all those on reception. We had a junior suite and it was excellent accommodation. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch and dinner, it caters perfectly well for breakfast and as there are so many restaurants surrounding the hotel, particularly those with outside tables, meals were not a problem. Would recommend Piazza d Signoia , it has numerous outside restaurants with good food reasonably priced. The best view of Florence is from Piazzale Michelangelo , a bit of a walk but spectacular views when up there look for the white church it is worth a visit. Booking trips from the hotel was no problem . Our day trip to Sienna and Chianti were well worth it , although we did travel by train to Pisa , saw the tower , ticked the box and came back , not very much to see other than the tower.

Room Tip: Junior suite is perfect
