This apartment was perfect for us from the beginning. We arrived earlier than expected and needed a place to wait with our luggage for the appointed time to meet Eleanora. Steps away from the apartment was a sidewalk cafe where we could have lunch and keep our luggage close by. The apartment is charming with it's antique features and also very nicely renovated. We found its proximity to the Duomo, grocery store, restaurants, Uffizi, Accademia, Arno etc. a great advantage.
Eleanora is a charming, gracious and most helpful host. She was happpy to take the time to point out on a map, good local restaurants, grocery store, and shops for certain items. The morning we left, there was a marathon and the center of Florence was closed to traffic. Eleanora called a taxi for us and escorted us to the meeting point. A wonderful experience, I would stay there again.

The owner of this apartment was great to work with and very helpful in recommending places to visit, restaurants and best areas for shopping. This centrally located spacious two bedroom apartment was very clean and fully equipped. The beds were very comfortable.

The only negatives were the washer/dryer which was a challenge to operate and would recommend putting in a shower curtain for the main bathroom.

Would definitely rent this apartment again the next time we are in Florence. Thanks Eleanor for all your insider information on Florence.

My family enjoyed our stay in Eleonora's lovely unit. The apartment is charming and spacious and immediately beside the Duomo. The location couldn't be better as it is in the center of Florence and an easy walk to all. Too, it faces a relatively peaceful side street - so it is pretty quiet - considering its busy location.

The unit - and especially the kitchen - is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. You also have access to a washer/dryer. All very convenient when travelling.

Only issue was the lack of a traditional western shower. The unit has two bathrooms and a large tub with a hand shower attachment which works well but requires adjustment. Personally, it worked for me - but the wife found it challenging.

Finally, Eleonora is an amazing host - we received a warm greeting, a full orientation and more.

I would recommend the unit without reservation - it was a very enjoyable stay.

This apartment was perfect for us. Located mere yards from the Duomo, it was within easy walking distance to all of the sights in Florence. Train station a 10 minute walk for excursions outside the city. Couldn't have been more pleased. Will definitely make this our home base in Florence moving forward.

Couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The location was wonderful - the Duomo at one end of the street and Piazza Annunziata at the other. Within walking distance of everything you could want to see in the historic center. The apartment itself is excellent. Huge living room with a small dinette, kitchen complete with modern coffeemaker and everything you need to cook and eat, two really large bedrooms with comfortable beds, one large bathroom, one small bathroom and and washer dryer! And a sofa bed, although we never used it. If you're travelling over one week, you know what a gift that is. With windows closed, no noticeable street noise and perfectly comfortable in every way. I would say easily suited for four, six if a couple of kids are in the mix. Eleanora was wonderful. Met us at the door, even though we were late, gave us a map and directions and suggestions and the offer to contact her for any help. She even left us with a nice bottle of wine, some water and some coffee for the morning. I would definitely stay here again and I would definitely recommend Eleanora and her lovely apartment to anyone I really liked.

This was a lovely apartment with everything you need to feel at home. It is in a great location right next to the Duomo and within walking distance to many sites and great shops in Florence. Eleonora was so helpful in explaining how everything worked and giving us great tips on shops and sites. She even helped us get a cooking class set up. The bedroom on the street side can be a little noisy but not much of a problem. The restaurant next to the apartment was closed during our stay. So really could not say if this would be a problem when open. Based on our experience I would definitely recommend a stay in Eleonora's home!
