I stayed in a single room for 4 nights and I realy enjoy this lovely and cozy place. The brakfast was exactly in the right amount to start the day, thu, I was perfering to drink my coffe in the city. It's a small guest house with very nice people in a great location. The rooms are decorated in a very nice and minimalist traditional style. Veronica help me alot with buses and trains, which are not so easy to understand.
I had a great time in Firenze and especialy because of his place. I felt like it's my home. hope to come back again and surely I will recomend this place.

First-time visitors to Florence, we loved our 11-night stay at Casa Rovai. The guest house was attractive (with fresco angels on the bedroom ceiling), comfortable, and located within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Anna and Veronica helped us with reservations at galleries and restaurants, and with booking travel for a side-trip to Venice. The wifi was useful, and we enjoyed meeting other travelers in the breakfast room. We will definitely come back!

Somehow we were put in a multi room apartment when we only wanted a double. The room was used to store linens and the vacuum, cleaning supplies and had an old double bed too. There were beautiful murals on the ceiling, but the overall effect was a store room. Around the corner was another bunk room and second bath.
It was our last night in Italy, so we were tired and ready to sleep before the plane, so it wasn't worth worrying about, but we were disappointed.

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights at the Casa Rovai. We were quite pleased with our choice. This was our first time staying at a B&B and we were not disappointed. Our room was very nice and comfortable with a private bathroom. It was hot when we arrived and were quite pleased to have our very own air conditioning that cool the room very quickly. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed meeting other travelers during those morning hours before starting our days. The location of the B&B is just great. You can just go out and start walking to restaurants, shopping, the Duomo and many other sites of interest. Anna spoke English and was very knowledgeable and helpful not only during our stay but prior to our trip. Veronica also spoke English and was a helpful resource as well. We would definitely stay again.

This is a lovely guest house in a great location. There was a lovely breakfast and wi-fi which was useful. Anna was very helpful and friendly. Our only complaint is we booked the room with the external private bathroom. This wasn't very private as it was across the hallway by the entrance. We had to walk past reception and across the hallway. Not ideal for a private bathroom. You will also be woken early by the lady setting for breakfast.

Thank you for your kind review... indeed we try to be as helpful as possible! Your room was our only double with the external bathroom, and we understand that this can be a bit uncomfortable for guests so we make sure to advise you ahead of time! Next time we hope to host you in a double with an internal bathroom!!!!

Our recent stay at Casa Rovai was way too short - my fault. Smile. The B&B is absolutely lovely and pretty close to the center. The setup is nice, the decor is amazing, and the environment feels very inviting. Anyone visiting will most certainly feel right at home. Great choice. We loved it and definitely intend to visit again.

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed!! Anna, the owner, spoke excellent English and told us all about the history and construction of the building, and even gave us a tour of a couple of empty rooms. Our room was beautiful, with newly revitalized frescos and a clean, remodeled bathroom. Probably the most important component of the place was the air conditioning! It worked really well! The breakfast was wonderfully complete. We couldn't get wifi in our room, but we felt so at home there that using a computer in the more public areas was like being at home! The location of the building was in the heart of the city so walking to the Duomo (6 minutes), the Arno (10 minutes), the Galleria dell Accademia (12 minutes), a multitude of restaurants and shopping was a piece of cake!
