Perfect stay in this very unique, original place in a very good location in Florence. The owner, Gabrielle, lives on the premisses, so you are really staying in his apartement, which makes the stay warm and personal. Gabrielle is super friendly and laid back, and provided us with everything we could think of. The rooms were spaceous and nice, so was the bathroom. WIFI was good, and so was the bed. The breakfast was served in Gabrielles pretty unique dining room, and contained everything we needed (he asked us if we wanted some cheese and ham
or anything else- in that case he would shop it for us for the next morning). Nice gesture we tought. Good coffee, juices and tea also.

The price is very good, I doubt you can do better in Florence. Will definitely stay again, and will recommend it to anyone seeking a personal, warm and original stay in the heart of Florence. Truly great!

I can't say enough about the host, Gabrielle! We stayed with him for 4 nights and felt like family by the time we left. Each morning he would have a wonderful breakfast waiting for us in his lovely dining room. He gave us maps, tips, advice, dining options and ensured we were taken care of for the day. He went above and beyond each day. I truly felt like he was my long lost Italian uncle that opened his home as his heart, to take care of use while we were in Florence. He checked in on us throughout our stay and even met us at the B&B the afternoon we were leaving, to call us a taxi. The B&B is in a perfect location within minutes of all that you want to see in Florence. Oh and the beds were very comfortable! I highly recommend staying here!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Florence at Martindago. Gabrielle made the stay even better as he is so gracious and helpful. He is willing to go above and beyond and made us restaurant reservations, provided us with maps and helped us navigate and plan our itinerary. We could have stayed and chatted with him all morning. Breakfast was set out lovingly and his home is lovely. The location couldn't be any better, you're minutes walk away from the Uffizi, Piazza Santa Croce where all of young Florence seems to hang out at night. We walked everywhere from MartinDago and it never seemed that far. We stayed in the Blue room, the ensuite is small, but then again it is Italy. The mattress was unbelievably comfy, had the best night sleep the whole trip there.

For those on a budget, look no further. location location location! This is a very clean and comfortable discreet B and B in the heart of Florence. What makes it extra special is your host Gabrielle, a five star human being! He welcomes you as if you are staying in his own home, which you are. People forget that B and B is not a hotel. Your host lives in the same premises. This man spared no effort to please us, accommodate us and generally make us happy in every way. No request was too troublesome and always with a smile and cheerfulness. The green room was most comfortable, full size bathroom, air conditioning and tv. Breakfast is a treat as you get to have it in Gabrielle's own dining room. I loved his decor!
If we have the great fortune to return toFlorence, we will definitely stay at MartinDago! thank you Gabrielle!

Room Tip: We stayed in the green room and were very happy!

We had a fantastic stay in Florence, made all the better by our great B&B and fantastric host.
It was a little hard to find as no signs on the door but as soon as I phoned Gabriele he answered and met us at the door.
The room was great, everything we needed. We could help ourselves to fresh towels and chilled water, which was nice.
Gabriele put on a great breakfast, simple but filling. He was also more than helpful when we asked about planning our time in Florence.
Would stay again without doubt.

We loved our stay here thanks to the helpful owner ! He was great in helping us book things to do, taxis, and much more . The beds were very comfortable, which is very hard to find in Italy, take it from me ! The decor may seem somewhat outdated but everything else out weighs that! :) it's a great value and we feel we have made a new pen pal friend in the owner .

We spent four days at Martindago - it's part of an old palazzo with paintings on the ceiling, so quite atmospheric, perfectly located 2 minutes walk from everywhere you need to be, very clean and quiet room with balcony looking out onto typically florentine courtyard, comfortable bed, surprisingly cool when the weather outside was incredibly hot. Our daughter and friend slept in smaller room with bathroom down the hall. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.Gabriele is the cherry on the cake - delightful, welcoming and endlessly helpful. I would definitely recommend.
