we stayed here for 4 nights in an apartment for 3 people. The hotel is mini-apartment style, so one bed was in a loft area on the second floor and the kitchen, bathroom, and sofa bed were downstairs. The kitchen does cost extra to use. Our room had a tv/computer with internet for extra. It was very nice to have so much space after being in small hotels during the rest of our stay in Europe. The room, beds, and bathroom were very clean. The only problem was the shower didn't drain well, so you had to turn it off and wait before rinsing off. My sister who had studied abroad in Florence before, said it was a common problem since the city is so old, the pipes don't work well.

The hotel is very close to the train station, and kinda farther than a lot of hotels to the central part of Florence. However, Florence is a fairly small city, so we could still walk to the Duomo, Accademia, and riverside in around 15-20 minutes from the hotel. Also, the area has plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Since it is close to the train station, walking that direction didn't seem as safe at night, however if you walked towards were the sights are it seemed fine.

The rooms are so valuable in this hotel, really cool apartment-rooms, the staff are so friendly and helpful. We only stayed for one night but it was walking distance to everything worth visiting in Florence and I would definitely go there again.
The breakfast was not so good but the rooms and location of the hotel are excellent! Just behind the Train Station SMN

This is a 5 minutes walk from the Train station and about 10 minutes from the old city center. The rooms are two levels so there's a lot of space (I have rarely see that in Europe) for a very decent price.

We were a family of 6 adults who occupied 2 rooms for 4 nights in this hotel. There was plenty of room and the location was close to the train station and other sites which was a plus. HOWEVER, from the first night and for the duration of our stay, we encountered nearby rooms full of unchaperoned teenagers who hollered and partied till the wee hours of the morning. After daily complaints to the front desk to remedy the situation, nothing was done to quiet the nightly parties. In addition, my son, his fiance and my adult daughter shared Room 205 in which my daughter suffered bed bug bites during our stay at LaContessina.

There wasn't a language barrier to hinder our efforts to get some peace and quiet since one in our party spoke Italian. The hotel staff including the manager was aware of the noise problem.

After rooming in several tiny hotels, this hotel was a welcome change. It was huge! There was a kitchenette (use of it costs extra). a big bathroom, a dining area and a flat-screen tv. The breakfast was okay. We wished they had better coffee and deli. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It's very close to the train station and bus stops. Would stay here again, definitely.
