We stayed in Giada Hotel early May. At first, finding the Hotel was difficult because a market is installed along the street with a lot of people and stores hanging around; however we find later that it's location was excellent since everything worthseeing was close. A convenient store (for buying water) is at the corner of the street which is of great value. The only thing that scared us a little bit is that at nights there are a lot of african immigrants hanging around trying to sell you bags and watches (which are fake by the way). However we have to say that it was always safe but precautions are important to take. Also we want to advice our fellow travelers that all museum entrances in Florence are cash only (they don´t accept any credit card which is really bad) and they charged you almost for everything (even if the site/place is not worthseeing). We careful when planning what you want to see. Try to go to see the David around 4 or 5 pm since almost all the tour groups are gone. Finally, we found a little bit weird the breakfast service. Since it is a small place there are not enough tables for all the guests, so you must book your slot before hand. Hope this helps.
