Hotel Embassy

Just stayed there 2 weeks ago. Very easy to find its location. only less then 10 min walk from Santa Maria Novella train station. Almost walkable to everywhere we want to go from shopping to site see.

Rooms are of right size and there was a pretty big bath room. Modren design and it was comfortable. The breakfast spread was also fantastic and made me look forward to breakfast!

Only down side is no free wifi. Need to pay Euro 5 for a night or Euro 8 for 2 nights.

This hotel was excellent decent size room right next to Novella train station but not too noisy.
Within easy walking distance to most attractions. Post office next to train station.Suggest taking hop on hop of bus tour a two day pass. The hotel staff were very friendly professional and helpful. Laundry done was beautifully pressed and reasonably priced. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh sheets on bed and towels replaced. Excellent service well worth money would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: No swimming pool or fitness centre that I could see so couldn't rate this. Our room number was 3...

We stayed at this hotel on May5th to 8th with our 8 year old son. This a very nice and clean hotel. Kids rooms as attach to your but have separete bathroom and very nicely done. Private balcony. Very convenient location as you can walk 7 to 6 minutes from Frenze train station. It is on the left side of the train station. Quite neighborhood. Hotel rooms and bathrooms are very clean. You can walk to all major location. We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was fine.

I had one of the strangest nights in a hotel during my one night stay at Hotel Embassy. First, we were informed our room was on the 4th floor, but then the clerk informed us that the elevator was out of order. No problem I thought, I'll take the stairs - only to be informed that there were no stairs to the 4th floor. There was only "a locked emergency stairwell" he stated. When I inquired about the safety of this, we were told the emergency stairwell would be unlocked immediately. We had to walk up to the 3rd floor and take the elevator to the 4th floor as these were the only two floors where the elevator was working. No assistance was offered with our luggage due to the out of order elevator. Second surprise - we lost complete power in our room TWICE during the evening. WhIle in the shower we lost power, a bright emergency auxiliary light illuminated over the door. I called down to reception and I was told to find the breaker panel in the room and reset the breaker . No technician was dispatched to the room, but I found and fixed the problem. The second time losing power was in the middle of the night (1:00 a.m or so) and I was woken up by the bright auxiliary light shining in the room. This time the clerk came to the room and reset the panel for the entire floor. The only positives I can include for the Hotel Embassy is the close proximity to the train station - about a 5 minute walk. The morning breakfast staff was also very nice, and the breakfast was fine too. The room was clean and we got decent sleep in between all the excitement. Since I reserved this room through Expedia, I wrote this same review on the Expedia website and it was rejected. I assume it was rejected because Expedia was really pushing this hotel on their site. I'm sure there are much better choices in Florence than the Hotel Embassy. Safe Travels!!

This hotel is a good choice if you arrive to Florence by train, as it is only minutes (walkung) from Firenze Santa Maria train station. It's also a short 10 min walk from Florence historic center. The rooms are domewhat dull, but clean. Breakfast has nice selection, with excellent expresso coffee. The price seems very reasonable. Overall I had a nice stay at Embassy.

Well we booked this hotel after looking on trip advisor and after taking all the good advice we decided to book through Voyage Privee.
The hotel is truly first class for the price and is very close to the railway station and two or three very good restaurants. The place is kept spotlessly clean with all towels and bed linen changed daily. I am not going to go on about the holiday itself save to say that if anyone wants to know about our break (4 days) which included a trip to both Venice and Pisa, (yes we easily managed all that in the time allowed. Then please contact us for details of travel, prices and where to eat.

Keith and Elaine

Since we had heavy luggage to haul, we chose this hotel as it was a few minutes walk from the railway station. The area it is in is rather drab with the trams plying up and down the road where the old wing/main building is located. I'd recommend staying in the new wing behind. We requested a room in the new wing which was a good size, modern, clean and quiet, being away from the main road. However the walls are quite thin as we could hear our rather loud neighbours' conversations. Breakfast was fine though the room gets crowded at peak breakfast times.

Be aware - it's not as some reviewers have posted "a few minutes walk" to the main sights. More like 20 minutes to the Duomo or the Ponte Vecchio. If this is an issue, there are many hotels closer to the centre.
