This hotel is a good choice if you arrive to Florence by train, as it is only minutes (walkung) from Firenze Santa Maria train station. It's also a short 10 min walk from Florence historic center. The rooms are domewhat dull, but clean. Breakfast has nice selection, with excellent expresso coffee. The price seems very reasonable. Overall I had a nice stay at Embassy.

Well we booked this hotel after looking on trip advisor and after taking all the good advice we decided to book through Voyage Privee.
The hotel is truly first class for the price and is very close to the railway station and two or three very good restaurants. The place is kept spotlessly clean with all towels and bed linen changed daily. I am not going to go on about the holiday itself save to say that if anyone wants to know about our break (4 days) which included a trip to both Venice and Pisa, (yes we easily managed all that in the time allowed. Then please contact us for details of travel, prices and where to eat.
regards
Keith and Elaine

Since we had heavy luggage to haul, we chose this hotel as it was a few minutes walk from the railway station. The area it is in is rather drab with the trams plying up and down the road where the old wing/main building is located. I'd recommend staying in the new wing behind. We requested a room in the new wing which was a good size, modern, clean and quiet, being away from the main road. However the walls are quite thin as we could hear our rather loud neighbours' conversations. Breakfast was fine though the room gets crowded at peak breakfast times.

Be aware - it's not as some reviewers have posted "a few minutes walk" to the main sights. More like 20 minutes to the Duomo or the Ponte Vecchio. If this is an issue, there are many hotels closer to the centre.

Not a 4star hotel, but solid 3star.
Pros: clean, good breakfast, location is convenient and within walking distance to train station and major attractions.
Cons: mattresses are very hard, front desk is less than welcoming, Internet extremely slow and unreliable.

We stayed there for three nights in March. We had an upgraded room which was right next to the lift which was a disappointment as the hotel wasn't full. There was a view of the main road and no terrace as we had expected the upgrade to have.
Breakfast was okay but the same every day, three days was enough.
On the photo's it looked more luxurious. The lounge area was a few chairs, sofas facing each other, not a relaxing place to want to sit.
On the plus side it was near all the famous sites and central.
The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help you. The lady at breakfast was especially nice.

We have just come back from a weekend in Florence staying at the Hotel Embassy and i have to say the Hotel was great, its location was good as its just by the main bus and train station so yuo don't have to take a taxi or drag your luggage too far. It was a little noisy in the rooms facing the street so if you are a light sleeper request a room on the inside. we had a room in the annex and it was very modern with a TV in the Mirror in the room and a great bathroom but had an old twist in that it had a fresco on the ceiling as it was an old room that had been modernised.
Breakfast was good with a good selection and the staff were helpful and friendly.
the location was not too far away from the main attractions with a 15 min walk to the Pont Vechhio.
Local restaurants ( Il Portalle) just by the station was very good value and very good food and wine. lots of other nice eateries around within a 10 minute walk and they all looked good.
In all a great location and very good hotel for your visit to Florence.

Room Tip: if you are a light sleeper ask for a room away from the street as it can be noisy but the windows do...
