We love the place, and the friendliness of Juliana. The location is great and the rooms are very spacious, clean and lovely decorated. We did not have a view, but you don't need it. We stay for 4 nights and Juliana brought us a beautiful and delicious breakfast each morning in our room!! What a treat!!! The pink room was very quiet and spacious facing a back street. I will love to go back soon!

This is our first trip to Florence and we couldn't choose a better place than this.
The room is located exactly in the middle of Florence in the middle of the "Piazza del Duomo", a 10 minutes walking distance from the train station and 10 minutes walking from all the main "things to do" in Florence.
The view was amazing- the Piazza Duomo and Duomo cathedral.
Rooms had everything you need, from a freezing AC, a safe, a fast WiFi connection etc.
The only Cons we could find was the fact that there is no elevator as for the special location of this hotel, but it was definitely worth for only 2 levels walking.
The main surprise for us was the rich breakfast, served directly to the room in our desired time: Eggs, Croissantes, different types of bread, orange juice, different types of cheese, coffee, different types of fresh fruits and more.
Thanks to Giuliana and Leonardo who helped us book places via phone to different museums saving us hours of line waiting, especially in this time of year.
We really recommend this place for those who are looking to a center place with great service and room.

We were delighted with our stay at A Florence View. We were met by Leonardo who showed us to our room and then went to great lengths to orient us to key sites and recommended restaurants, cafes, and gelaterias. Our room had a sitting room and a big bedroom and overlooked the Duomo and Baptistery. The window was soundproofed so we heard no noise from the square. The sitting came with ceiling fresco. Breakfast was a feast and is delivered to the door. As late risers, we really appreciated still having breakfast available to us at 11 AM. The room came with a kettle, tea, and a fridge stocked with water, wine, soda and beer - all better priced than the shops around the Duomo. The water pressure in the shower was very good and the air conditioning superb. Really exceptional value for the rate charged.

For our first short stay in Florence we chose "A Florence View" B&B because of its central position and very good reviews. We stayed in the double room right behind the reception desk. The room was spacious enough and charming with two big windows overlooking the Duomo Piazza. The bathroom was somehow narrow but nicely equipped and with nice amenities. Giuliana was very helpful and welcoming. Piazza Duomo is by default a noisy place to stay, however the double glazed windows when closed kept the noise away. The breakfast was served in the room, and was a really good fresh start for the day to follow. We left with a promise to come back soon!

Room Tip: Rooms with Duomo piazza view have some noise when windows are open

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in may whilst attending a friends wedding. We both loved 'a Florence view' and found the location perfect for our needs. Our room was spacious clean and well appointed with the only small complaint being the bathroom was a little small. Perhaps saving the best for last is the beautiful breakfast and wonderful friendly service from this excellent little b & b.

Amazing location; our room overlooked the square and we were upgraded to a fabulous apartment-style room with a king size bed, 2 sitting rooms, spacious bathroom and outdoor terrace. The daily breakfast was wonderful and more than enough food. Giuliana, her brother and sister-in-law were perfect hosts and able to help with reservations or answer any questions we had. We will definitely return; unbeatable!

Among the many plusses of A Florence View, my favourite was being able to stand at our bedroom window watching the world go by in the square below. The setting, opposite the Baptistry with the white icing mountains of the Duomo and the Campanile towering above us to the right, is awesome while the piazza is like an ever-changing kaleidoscope of interactions, full of life and interest from dawn until late at night. We even had marching band entertain us on our first night.
One constant was the sight of tourists coming across the square from the direction of the railway and bus stations being stopped in their tracks as they got past the end of the Baptistry and saw for the first time the jaw-dropping magnificence beyond. It was quite funny to watch them scurrying across the west end of the Piazza di San Giovanni and suddenly slam on the brakes before scrambling for their cameras. We could have gone down and drawn a chalk square round the area for taking the best picture - but we woke up with it!
A Florence View is the best of both worlds. It dates from the 1600s and is reached through a heavy oak door. Yet the interiors are a mix of old style and beauty and modern comforts. Our sizeable room, with king-sized bed, had a beautiful marbled floor, high ceilings, lots of drawer space and an extremely well-equipped bathroom, complete with bidet. Importantly, given the 'lively' location, it also has effective double glazing.
Few hotels will give you better service. A fantastic continental breakfast was served by Marina, who within a few minutes of being told we were ready came through our double doors with a tray groaning with goodies which we ate on a veneered occasional table, sat in our gracious antique chairs under the open windows! Marina and Giuliana both speak perfect English but showed great patience in helping us with our Italian and giving us tips for what to do in the city.
On our final day, though check-out was 10am, they gave us a key so we could leave our cases and come and go as we please to use the bathroom and - had we wished - relax on the elegant chaise long in the cool hallway.
It's about a 10 minute walk from the main station (make that 15 with cases - the streets get pretty crowded), but then everything is within 20 minutes because the location is so central.
We wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else!

Room Tip: Our review is based on a room overlooking the square so it would be worth checking that your room is...
