“Best restaurant in Florence”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2013

From the moment you step in the door to the final (complimentary) limoncello, the service, atmosphere, and food are remarkable, not to mention the very reasonable prices. The wines are also a very good price. Best risotto I've had in a while, the most tender beef, and the fish was delicate. The portions are reasonable, so you can comfortably eat two or three courses. Our entire 3-course dinner with a bottle of wine was less than we spent on lunch elsewhere. Don't miss it when you visit Florence.

“Great new restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

Was taken there by a friend who lives and works in Florence. We had a great experience. The meal in the Osteria was great and the service top notch. As a result we went back the same evening for dinner in their gourmet dining room. The experience was the same. So today we took a friend visiting from Perugia to the Osteria for lunch and she came away with the same good impression. Have eaten in a bunch of restaurants in Florence over the years. This was very different and special.

“Fabulous new ristorante in Florence!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

Was at the opening night party at this new ristorante, and liked it so much, took a friend there for dinner the following night. Going back again tonight with friends from Australia, who will love it. Is it too much to go to the same place three times in one week? Absolutely not. This place is a combination of several different types of Italian restaurants: a pizzeria, an osteria and ristorante. The decor is gorgeous, the food wonderful/ fairly priced and the ambience great. This is just the type of place that was needed in the Santa Croce area. My friends and I have found our brand new favorite hangout!

“High end, quality restaurant (and trattoria and pizzeria)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2013

Three levels of restaurant to choose from, near Santa Croce. We chose the fine restaurant because we wanted something nice for our final evening in Florence. Everything we had was great. This is a gourmet restaurant a cut above the rest. Our somalier recommended a wonderful wine that went amazingly well with both lamb and pasta. This was a wonderful break from the usual! Very friendly and welcoming service.

“Cute boys in leather aprons - also amazing food and service :)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2013

We stumbled upon this restaurant after it had only been open for a few days. The interior is absolutely gorgeous, from the chairs to the art to the still lifes of pomegranates and magnum wine bottles.

Since Florence is the capital of Italian leather, they have a leather theme and the menus, bread baskets, and aprons are made of soft brown leather.

We had a full four courses and they were all excellent. My favorite was the lamb chops over a sundried tomato paste. Often Tuscan food is salty and the bread is not. I asked our server and sommellier Martino to tell the chef not to over do it on the salt and he said that was fine - what I got was perfect. We also asked for oil and balsamic vinegar and it was wonderful (this is the best way to get around the bread that has no salt! Asking for butter is considered strange FYI!)

The wine was very good as well, and Martino even suggested others that were not on the list yet. I also recommend trying the Muffato which is a local dessert wine.

I cannot say enough about the decor. The main dining rooms are beautiful elegant Italian design. Then there is also a Pizza bar which is more traditional. Then there is also a beautiful wine bar. Then there is also an AMAZING basemnet floor with a party table and lounge. It's where I would want a rehearsal dinner or bachelor party. Just gorgeous.

All the managers we met were lovely and Federico the owner was very nice. Highly recommended.
