Opened Florence trip advisor app looking for a place to eat having just arrived in the city. This place serves paninis, meat and cheese plates as well a really good unnamed spread on bread (may have been a type of bruschetta or a salad). You order from the window (just to echo other reviewers, staff speaks limited English) and watch them make your sandwich, slicing your meat and cheese. The paninis we had were very delicious, the meats and cheese melting in your mouth. Prices are reasonable if looking for a cheap lunch. Would definitely eat here again if in the city.

We sought out this place after reading the reviews on tripadvisor and loved it so much, we went back 3 times! This was a perfect spot to get a quick sandwich for lunch and continue your walking around. There is a small air conditioned section at the back with a toilet if you want to sit and eat. The owner is marvelous! We asked for recommendations and he gave us tastes and different samples - he was fantastic. and clearly takes care in putting together delicious mixes of meat and cheese and sauces. and generally all are a mere Eur5. Great value and a good fun experience! He also has Tuscan wine going for Eur1.50 a (small) glass for the true Florentine experience. Don't miss this spot.

Stumbled upon this small spot while walking from the Duomo towards our hotel (near the SM Novella station). The friendly gentlemen making the sandwiches (and we assumed the man in charge), gave us recommendations...even made half-sandwiches so we could try a bit of a couple sandwiches. You could tell he took great pride in his products. All for 5 euros a sandwich. Great meal to stop for a few and get back on the go while trekking around Florence.

Was wondering on the street, looking for ‘lampredotto’, a typical Florentine dish which has been recommended by some friends. Randomly stopped at Dal Barone, the restaurant owner kindly told me that summer is not a good season for lampredotto cause it’s too greasy. But they have something alternative for it in summer time, which is a kind of salad. He passed me a sample, I tried. It was quite fresh, tasted good. Also I had one porchetta panini, that was also very good. Definitely would recommend it!
