Magnificent Venue!

We attended a Wedding Reception here that was nothing short of amazing. The view from the Terrace was spectacular! The dinner was delicious! And the wedding cake......wow. I think we should have all sent the bride thank you notes. An evening in the Tuscan Hills watching the sunset, never to be forgotten.

Amazing venue for a wedding!

We had our wedding here for about 50 people. The villa was beautiful and organized everything very well, Irene, the event manager, was extremely helpful and we had a very memorable wedding. The service and food was great and it is a beautiful spot.

Fabulous Villa Tolomei experience

When we arrived the guy on reception said to us, completely dead pan, that he would show us the room we had booked but if we didn't like it he had an alternative...
Well the alternative was one of their newly opened apartments and we would be the first to sleep there! We agreed to try it...
The apartments are several hundred yards from the main building - they gave us a golf cart to use for the week! The apartment is a very good size and has all the facilities needed to self-cater for a week (not that we did). The views in all directions from various windows were simply stunning and the apartment block (of 3) is set in a small vineyard (young vines). We ate in the restaurant 3 nights and the food is superb but the service was outstanding both in the restaurant and generally. They simply could not do enough for us. Even when we ate out we returned to the terrace bar to watch the sunset over Florence. I don't know who built the original villa but he picked a fantastic location.

Beautiful hotel away from it all

After a few days in Rome, we decided that we wanted a different experience and stayed at the Villa Tolomei in Florence. The grounds were beautiful. It had great views of the city, a working vineyard and a great pool. The only thing keeping it from a higher rating was the cost to go back and forth to the city every day (€15-20 depending on where you are going and what time if day). They had everything we needed on site, but we came to see Florence so we had to go to and from the city every day.

Wonderful week in March !!!

We had a wonderful week in March at the Villa Tolomei. The staff is very attentive, food is delicious, the view is breathtaking. A short walk to the city center. I can report the pool has been redone beautifully . I hope to return someday !!
