We found the hotel and grounds in general and our room in particularly well maintained, and clean. Our room was not the biggest, not helped by it’s slightly strange shape. We did have the use of a huge private veranda overlooking a olive grove to one side, and the city spread out to the front. A big bonus. I suspect all the rooms will not have this. The room had a fridge
The bathroom was on the small side and some what dated. We found the floor of the shower cubicle very very slippy in use. Dangerously so. The shower had a grab bar in, if that was not there to use I would have gone over. I would have liked to see a rubber mat provided , or some other solution found. Also the bathroom floor also got slippy when wet, but you can put a towel on the floor to solve this.
No problem streaming a film with the free Wi-Fi. I was surprised by this considering how spread out the rooms are. We visited in early April and the swimming pool was not open. All the staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming. They all spoke good English.
We had one of the best meals we have had for a very long time in the restaurant. Wonderful. The cost of half board my seem expense on the surface, but infact it is falue for money. I cannot understand why it has no Michelin stars. An injustice if I have ever seen one.
Breakfast was not as good as dinner. But still very good. It included buffalo mozzarella and other food stuffs from the region, as well as the more normal things you find in quality breakfast buffets.
Recommends. And you must have dinner in that restaurant.
