We spent the entire day touring all the major sites in Florence. It was absolutely wonderful. They purchased skip the line tickets so we just walked right in to the major attractions even though the lines were 1-2 hours long. This company (which we used twice in Rome last week for private tours) seems to employ nothing but knowledgable guides with degrees in history or art history. Our guide in Rome had a masters in history and in Florence she had a masters in art history. We had a great time!

We sampled three different tours in the course of our recent trip to Rome and Florence. All three were high quality and excellent! We had a private tour of the Forum and Colosseum in Rome with Luca, a small group tour of the Vatican with Maurizio, and a small group tour of Florence in the time of the Medici (including the Duomo and Accademia) with Constanza. Each guide was clearly passionate about his or her subject. All three were students of art history and Luca was also an archaeologist. They were personable. They were happy to take questions. They were sensitive to the need for breaks (especially with kids). Luca brought visual aids to help us imagine how the ruins once looked. He was well versed in the history, the myths, and the research related to both sites. Maurizio did an excellent job of pacing us through the vast exhibitions of the Vatican museum (this was the 4-hour "abbreviated" tour). Constanza shared her favorite streets and facts and gelato with our group. She helped us understand the links between the political, the commercial and the artistic centers of Florence. Although she must surely have seen the statue of the David hundreds of times, she still brought enthusiasm and admiration to our visit. My daughter is indeed convinced that he is the most handsome "boyfriend" of all time. I would highly recommend Through Eternity tours to anyone visiting Rome and Florence.

We did the full day tour of the Vatican with Through Eternity and loved it. Our tour guide, Francesca, was an archaeologist and a great fountain of knowledge for us on the tour. I learned a ton and didn't get overly bored or tired even after 5 hours of walking through the museums and the basilica. I would highly recommend this company (and Francesca specifically) for anyone looking for a great tour of the Vatican.

A couple travelling with us in the train to Jungfra told us about Through Eternity. Me and my wife with our 3 kids (9 to 15 years) took the group tour of "The Ancient City In-Depth Experience (Instant Access): Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill". It was an awesome tour. Our guide Luca De Angelis is an archaeologist and was full of insightful information. He kept all of us including our kids engaged. A great tour indeed.

We used Through Eternity extensively on our family trip to Italy in June 2013 and were never disappointed, in fact we were dazzled. In Florence, we had Angelo as our guide to the Uffizi with the small group tour. There were only 5 of us total, our family of 3 and another couple. Angelo made the art in the Uffizi very understandable and manageable, we got a sense of the meaning of the art at the time and in the context of art history. He by far enhanced our experience with his knowledge and passion for the subject. We also did the Florence of the Medici and Accademia and were lucky enough to have Maddalena. It was supposed to be a small group but no one other than our family was there so it was a private tour. Maddalena was again incredibly knowledgeable, like all the guides we had with this company. She had a great personality and made Florence come alive, since there was only our family she was able to tailor things to us directly. We had such a great time we hired her again for a private tour of Santa Croce and the Bargello.
Both Angelo and Maddalena shared inside tips to seeing Florence with help with restaurants, gelato stops and shopping. The personalized experience we had with Through Eternity was amazing and I don't think there is a better way to see the sights of Florence.

Dear Atlas Peaker,

Thank you so much for you kind words about your tours with Maddalena and Angelo. Through Eternity is fortunate to work with such wonderful guides who are both experts in history and art, as well as passionate citizens of their city. It sounds as if they helped you to fall in love with Florence too.

We're glad to hear that you appreciated the small group sizes and were even fortunate enough to get a private tour. We deliberately limit our group tours to 9 people so as to offer customers a more personalized touring experience. On the rare occasion that a group tour is composed of just one booking party, the guides relish the opportunity to cater to the clients' particular interests.
