“wonderful service - atmosphere -food”
Reviewed June 5, 2014

Eating here is always a great experience!

It's a very small place and most of the times it's very busy so expect some waiting time for a table but it's definitely worth the wait!

The people are so friendly here and the atmosphere is great! You have to set the table yourself and get the water yourself too but that only adds to the nice, cozy atmosphere.
I would recommend you take a platter to share with your friends/loved one/ mum. At lunchtime you can chose between the lunch option and the aperitivo option. The aperitivo plate is a bit smaller but you won't be hungry after it. The lunch platter is served on a beautiful long wooden platter and has so many stuff on it! So much choice between nice meat, cheeses and some fruit/vegetables!
I think its possible to choice every single ingredient on you platter, but i always let them surprise me. (and i'm never disappointed)
Don't skip this place when you visit Florence!!!

(extra tip: I don't know if it's possible but if you would still be hungry after a massive plate at la prosciutteria, All' Antico Vinaio (best panini place in florence. word. try the porchetta! or the mario gomez!) is just at the end of the street....)

“Excellent wine and apperitivo”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

My friend and I stumbled across La Prosciutteria while we were walking around Via dei Neri - boy were we lucky! You get a lot for your money (ask for a wine and meat plate - different sizes, either 10 or 15 euros) and the food is beyond delicious. Also highly recommend the house Chianti. While we were in Florence for 10 days we ate here three times! Highly recommended...

“Cool experience- would go back”
Reviewed June 1, 2014 via mobile

Worth the trip to stop in and get a meat/cheese board with a glass of wine. The manager saw right through my poor Italian accent and obliged with preparing us a board based on his recommendations.

A+ experience and a very fair price

“So happy to have found this place”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

It is perfectly situated for grabbing a bite on a budget when visiting either il duomo or the Ufizzi. A completely authentic place to grab a panino and rest our weary feet, away from the tourist crowds despite its proximity to Piazza della Signoria. So easy we went twice. It really is a self service place, so it is impossible to rate service.

“Excellent surprise!”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

My sister and I were walking down the street and saw this place almost by accident. We were so excited about it that despite the fact that we already had dinner, we stopped here for some wine and prosciutto.

Amazing prosciutto! We were just sorry that we found it on our last day, otherwise we would come back here over and over again.
