“Unexpected discovery!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

I read abt this place from tripadvisor but wasn't sure if i can visit the place due to limited time in Florence. However my fiancé and i found this shop when we were on our way back to hotel. It is very near to Piazza della Signoria.. We were delighted to find this shop, the service was great. We already had our lunch earlier, but wanted to try the meat and cheeses there. They were very flexible serving us the right proportion we were expecting. we didnt know how to order, but the staff as so helpful and understanding, not being rude, with a smile and good attitude, patiently suggesting us their menu. then we were given a tray of 4 types of meat, 3 types of cheese, and breads with olive n olive oil, with some red wine. There was free water, but seating was limited. Costing us €14.. The food was very special, it gave us a good exposure on the local food. Highly recommended!!

Dear Audrey,
you traveled more 10.800 kilometers to come visit us!!!!!
WHY would someone be rude with a "professional" tourist like you? I know, there is a lot of "bad attitudes waiters" in Italy, but we are not all the same!
I am so happy you liked our homemade products which are so different from yours!
Thank you SO MUCH for your visit and, if you'll ever have the chance to come back, let us know via phone, so we can suggest you some better times of the day when to find seating!

See you soon,

Dario Leoncini

We had such a wonderful experienced at this resturant. The staff have been wonderful and the food is fantastic. This is our second visit in a matter of days (24hours to be exact) and both times they have delivered exceptional food, lovely wine and great service. We tried most meats and cheese avaliable... Even the donkey and horse which was the most flavoursome thing I have had in a while. I would recommend this place to my foodie friends and anyone who would want want to experience something individual.

“Husband happy here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013 via mobile

Read about it, can't believe we just happened to find it! Ordered an assortment (Sandra and Giada behind the counter chose) and some local red. VERY good!

It is a tiny, self-service place, very cute, stayed and chatted a bit. I have the feeling we'll be back, based on my husband's grin.

Dear Glow,
in fact neither I can believe you found la Prosciutteria almost 8000 km far from your home!
Sandra e Giada waves you back and say CIAOOO!
And of course we can't contradict the king of the house. So I'm sure we'll meet again soon!
