La Prosciutteria was a wonderful escape in busy Florence! Honestly, it was one of my best memories of our time in this city. The atmosphere is great, the food is amazing, and it is all very Italian! We were lucky enough to chat for hours with the owner and I appreciate his unending hospitality. When I go back to Florence, I will be returning to La Prosciutteria again and again.

“Friendliest Place in Florence”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

My sister and I spent several days in Florence this summer and visited La Prosciutteria twice. The first time, we were searching for a nice place to sit and have wine. We heard interesting music coming from La Prosciutteria and decided to give it a try. We ended up staying there for hours enjoying the atmosphere and Dario's company. The second time we went back, we had a sandwich and it was phenomenal! We learned so much from talking to Dario about Florence, wine, and food. We were so thankful we stumbled upon his place, it remains one of our best memories from our time in Florence!

“Great value meal”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

Longing to get away from the same same tourist trap places that are prevalent in Florence, we stumbled across this one. A small wine bar that had tasting menus! The staff were very friendly and spoke good English (lucky for us!) and the house wine (both white and red) was really enjoyable, and generous! We had a tasting platter which we put in the hands of the owner - a bunch of different cheeses and cured meats which were all delicious and all we needed. They also sold a lot of gourmet products (for great prices) and we bought a little jar of truffled butter/lard. Quite a treat!!
If we were staying longer, we'd come back here.
When we come back, we'll come back here. :)
