An excellent hotel with its customer focus and service a real strength. Great location. An initial hiccup with hotel WiFi (which is a problem) was solved with a hotel provided mobile dongle. An initial suite was too light, low and narrow and was substituted for an equivalent but with high frescoed ceiling, great sized room and very comfortable bed. Ceiling shower not work? Try adjusting knob between the end settings.

WiFi is plagued with too many concurrent users all on phone + tablet devices per person and never logging off. Also even after checking out, guests are still logged on for 6 hours. So it is luck if you get on. Being initially told to try the next day is the wrong answer. Instead there should be an automatic log off of when no activity for say 15 mins. That would let others get on.

Thanks Yanni and Simone. Good work.

Room Tip: Try 107 for the frescoed ceilibg and mosaic floor.

My first trip to Florence would not have been complete without my stay in this beautiful hotel. The general manager, Roberto, and his incredible staff, from front desk through housekeeping, are some of the most gracious I have encountered in my travels. Their recommendations and assistance to book restaurants and activities were spot-on and our family grew to rely on their experience and advice to make our stay in Florence the most memorable of our vacation. I'm sure the love that I developed for the city of Florence was enriched by our stay at Firenze Number Nine. Roberto, Chiara, Yanni, Sebastiano & Chef, I can't wait to return for another visit!

Room Tip: My room was facing the street and provided a charming view of life in this incredible city, the room...

My husband and I have just completed a 4 night stay at this beautiful, beautiful hotel. If you want a stylish hotel that is in a convenient location that enables you to walk easily to all major attractions this is the one. Although I use Trip Advisor regularly , I don't often write reviews unless I feel really compelled to do so.
The hotel's interior design is possibly the loveliest I have seen with lovely, glamorous touches in all the rooms and common areas. The rooms are very spacious and all offer a beautiful and unique charm.
The staff are wonderfully friendly and will " bend over backwards" to help you in every way. Outstanding customer service from the Front Desk Staff to the wait staff at breakfast. Friendly and good humoured all around.
A lovely canapé buffet is on offer with a drink at the bar ( the barman is delightful also).
This is a very very pretty hotel which delighted us in so many ways. I would highly recommend
it. This has definitely been a highlight of our trip to Italy from Australia. Bravo Number Nine!!

The hotel staff was very helpful in providing recommendations, the rooms were spacious and comfortable (beds were soooo comfy!). Great breakfast spread to fuel you up for the day's activities. The only strange point about the hotel was the creepy spa in the basement. Felt like a dark, dank dungeon. But who cares?! You're not in Florence for the spa!

We had a room facing the street, which was nice because you could see the people traffic below and had a distant view of the Medici Chapel. The windows face directly into a nearby building so privacy could be an issue if you don't draw your drapes.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed pleasant. We had a room facing the street, which was nice because you could see the...

You couldn't ask for more here. The staff is so hospitable and makes every effort to make your stay perfect. Your every request is immediately acted upon by the nicest people who make it their mission to make you happy. I never once felt that this staff was cold or standoffish as is the case in other luxury or boutique hotels. The location was right in the middle of things. The Duomo is just around the corner, Medici Chapel is a street behind, plenty of restaurants and shopping. The rooms are beautiful, an unorthodox mix of modern and old world. Our room had the most beautiful frescoed ceiling and was huge by any standards. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: 107, 105 are beautiful rooms. They are right on the street so you may want a different room if you...

What a great hotel! The rooms are large, and the bathrooms are as well. The breakfast was very nice, plenty to choose from with lots of staff to serve you. But most of all it's about the hotel staff. From the front desk to housekeeping everyone goes above and beyond to assist you during your stay. Will stay here on our next trip for sure.

I stayed at this hotel in september and had an amazing and memorable stay. It's a really nice modern boutique hotel with nice decor and very friendly and helpful staff. The staff is very professional, friendly and willing to help. It has a very cosy feel to it and its location is excellent. Breakfast is very good with a big variety and the access to the spa is a bonus. The rooms are all nice and some of them even have spectacular ceilings with beautiful frescoes. I stayed in one of those and I have to say it's the type of room you won't come across many times in your life. This hotel also serves complimentary canapes and finger food at least once a day late afternoon in the lobby which was amazing. Our internet wasn't working in the room due to technical issues and even though it worked in the lobby we still got complimentary drinks which was extremely nice of them. This hotel deserves a five star for service and comfort and I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Florence!
