Raspberry flavor was great. Being close to the duomo waiting line, it was easy to just go and get ice cream while 1 from the family waits in the line :)

I went to Italy with a list of recommended gelato places from various sources. On our first night in Florence I was looking for Gelataria Le Parigine on Via del Servi, described as "steps from the Duomo" but couldn't find it. However, I did find Mordilatte and think it may be the same place with a new name, because the description of Le Parigine said there was cow statue outside--and Mordilatte had a cow cutout inside. In any case, I had lampone (raspberry) with cioccalato nero dominicano (dark chocolate). The combination was delicious. The prices were reasonable considering the location (prime tourist area).

We decided to get some gelato here after climbing the dome of the Duomo. The prices weren't too bad and the portions were large, and it was so delicious that we came back later the same day. If it's sunny out and you plan on walking around you should probably get it in a bowl because someone in our group got her's in a cone while she ate it in the sun and the gelato melted a little and just slid off her cone.

What a nice surprise to find a gelato shop in a great location with "artigianale produccion" (homemade) and reasonable prices! Definitely must go if you're in Firenze.
