Pros:
Friendly staff, most know English well. As we checked in they gave us a free map of Florence and used a pen to show best routes for walking and showed us the location of the sites we wanted to see. :) The hotel is just a 5-10 minute walk

Room Conditon:
Hot rooms, so stinkin hot! When we called and asked for a fan for relief I was rudely told there were none. The windows hardly open and they claim that there is a law in Florence that regulates when they can turn the air conditioning on, I don't buy it!

The bathroom is tiny! The shower is just a drain in the floor with a shower head and curtain. This means the entire bathroom floor gets wet!

The bathroom had a bidet but if they had removed this one feature they would have had a nice sized bathroom!

Loud, b/c the room was so hot your only option is to open the window for relief, but remember it opens only 5 inches. The street and train station are extremely loud and annoying.

They have not maintained this hotel well, while pictures online from 10 years ago look nice they have obviously not kept up with maintanance. The walls desperately need a coat of pant the laminate hard woods are peeling and there was mold on the ceiling.

The beds were clean as was the bathroom. I was not concerned about the sanitation of the room while there.

Location:

The hotel is not close to many food locations, there are maybe 5 places to eat in a five minute walking radius, but don't travel to far in the wrong direction the area is sketchy! Lots of graffiti, trash and low income Itialins!

The hotel is just a 5-10 minute walk from the train station.

I would not walk outside the hotel after dark, there's not much foot traffic and like I said, sketchy area.
However, during the day I never felt endangered.

Service:

Friendly staff, most know English well. As we checked in they gave us a free map of Florence and used a pen to show best routes for walking and showed us the location of the sites we wanted to see. :)

While they were great with we've when we first arrived they were rise with most of my future request (wifi password, fan and how to dial out on the phone)

Overall for the ridiculous €330 that I paid for three adults this was NOT worth it! I was disappointed all around. I will say though, this hotel would be fine if they would spruce it up and get the A/C working, the other aspects would be easy to overlook. :)

Not that clean. Noisy as all rooms face the train station. If you want to sleep from 4 to 6 am and nothing else, then book it. Dont otherwise. The other thing is that it is not that cheap if you look around. Try booking in advance closer to the cathedral, as there are many b and bs which are by far better

Great hotel located a 5 minute walk from the train station. Also, easy walk to many sites in Florence. i.e. Duomo, Piazza del Signoria. Lots of cafes in the area as well. Hotel itself had very friendly staff, great breakfast to get you started in the morning and rooms were very clean and nice size. Stayed there in Dec 2011.

Place was in a good location, about 5mins walk from main station. The attractions were all within walking distance of the hotel.
Staff where friendly & place was tidy.
Room was comfortable, but on the small side. The bathroom was clean but tiny, shower cubical however was small & there was no vent to let the steam out.
The buffet breakfast was fine, eat all you could.
The hotel has a busy road outside & on the corner it was hard to cross road. The junction had some traffic lights, with one part of the road only having lights to a traffic island. Then had a crossing, which the Italians don’t like to stop at.
