Hotel Europa is one of the best boutique family-run hotels I have stayed in across not only Italy, but Europe. This is the place to stay if you want a taste of Italian family culture where you will receive genuine warm hospitality.

I stayed here twice in the busy month of June for a total of 6 nights. During my first stay, I stayed in a double room that had a little balcony decorated with plants and colourful flowers with a gorgeous view of the Duomo - in a nutshell, wow. The room was spacious, with a modern bathroom and spotless clean. As I was returning the following week with my husband, I asked for the same room and the owners were more than happy to oblige.

I have stayed in a number of hotels across Europe ranging up to 5 stars and never have I had such a nice room with a beautiful view, perfectly located, away from the street noise AND accompanied by such warm, hospitable service...all for such a reasonable price!

You would be silly to pass up Hotel Europa. It is perfectly located and provides a service that only a welcoming host family can provide. You will leave Florence with the feeling that you experienced its true culture after staying at Hotel Europa.

We cannot recommend more highly the family-run Hotel Europa. Gassim, Maria and family make us feel so welcome every time we visit Florence (twice a year on business for the past few years) and go out of their way to give helpful advice, restaurant and train timetables etc. as well as valet parking your car. The Suite rooms are newly furnished and all the hotel rooms are exceptionally clean and have great beds. "A little gem" and great value.

We stayed at the Hotel Europa for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. The location is fantastic and our room was lovely, with a frescoed ceiling and view of the Duomo. Our hosts were amazingly friendly and we will definitely return to the Hotel Europa the next time we are in Florence.

My wife and I spent 3 days in Florence at the beginning of June and stayed in the Dante Suite. It was incredibly quiet, with two windows from the bedroom opening up onto a courtyard. The room was large with lots of room to move around in. The bathroom was recently upgraded and again, provided a generous amount of room. No need to worry about hot water or water pressure - there was ample! Ditto with the air conditioning when we needed it.

The breakfast area was charming with a beautiful fresco on the ceiling. A highlight every morning for us was the coffee - self-served from an amazing espresso machine!

The location can't be beat. The hotel is located in the heart of all the action. No need for taxis, you can walk everywhere you want/need to explore (wouldn't recommend renting a vehicle - there's no need unless you want to explore outside the city).

I must say, however, that the highlight of our stay at Hotel Europa was the hospitality shown by Gassim and Miriam. They're absolutely delightful and really made us feel welcome. My wife and I strongly recommend this property. Its 2-star rating doesn't do it justice.

I recently visited Florence with a group of 14 friends and our stay in Florence was made much more comfortable due to our stay at Hotel Europa. Though we had moved from a 5 star to a 2 star we were treated with kindness and respect. Gassim and his daughter Miriam did their very best to accomodate our needs. Their breakfast room was a very comfortable meeting place for us and we met some other tourists who were also very pleasant an interesting. For the price and location and especially the warmth of our hosts, it is a bargain all the way around. Thanks to all.Caio!

My family of four stayed at Hotel Europa for 3 nights recently based on reviews found in Trip Advisor. We were very pleased. When we arrived at the hotel after a long day of traveling, we were met at the door by Gassim who was gracious and watchful over our satisfaction for the entire stay. Our room was large, clean and comfortable (even for 4 people) and the location was right up the street from the Duomo. Even with its central location, the room was very quiet.

My family and I really enjoyed the Europa Hotel and strong recommend it.

The hotel was recommended to us by a friend and we were extremely happy with their recommendation. We spent two weeks travelling around Italy and this was by far the nicest hotel we stayed in on our trip - and also the best value for money. The owners Gassim and Mirriam were extremely helpful and had no problem in extending our check-out time the next day. Our only regret was that we could only stay one night – will definitely be going back to this hotel and for longer next time!!
