“Charming, Luxurious, and Out-of-the-Fray”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

My husband and I stayed for two nights and it was absolutely lovely. The villa was charming, the host wonderfully welcoming, and our room was far more luxurious than we expected for the very reasonable price, but it was the unbelievable bathroom which was nearly as large as the room itself that blew us away: it was so modern, beautifully designed, and cooler than cool that we felt like we were in a palace.

The villa itself is in a residential neighborhood that's an easy walk from the town center -- it's GOOD to be out of the fray at the end of the day. And it's fun to explore the more authentic, local stores and restaurants. We can't wait to come back.

Room Tip: Choose one above the ground level for views.

I stayed here with my wife for 2 nights and it was perfect, only 15 min walk to the downtown area and for the price I couldn't of asked for a better spot. The bathroom was massive with the biggest shower I had ever seen. The staff was extremely nice and the breakfast was great!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Villa Antea for 3 nights at the start of Novemeber.

I love to organise and plan my trips well in advance, and continually bugged Dilleta with various emails about local restaurants, what to do etc etc. She always replied to my emails promptly and her responses were always very helpful. When we arrived, all of the staff were knowledgable, attentive and super friendly.

She recommended some fantsatic local resturants and booked them all for me. They were all full of italians - no English menu translations or other English people - which was fantastic - a great genuine experience.

As for the B and B it was genuinely lovely. Located about 20 minute walk from the centre - (an easy walk down a straight road lined with boutiques and cafes!) it was perfect.

The building has been converted from the old tradditional family home and has retained the fabulous high ceilings and authentic decor.

The rooms were spotless, huge for European standards and tasetfully furnished - the pictures so not do it justice!

The only grumble is that you could hear the road noise if on the front of the house - but only from about 8am onwards so not really a problem. Also, it didnt wake us - we were only aware of it once we had woken up!

Overall this place is an excellent find - I have already recommended to all my friends and family!

Small and intimate B & B in a quiet part of city. 30 min walk to Ponte Vechia...Nice local eateries nearby.....staff was very friendly.....rooms comfortable...shop for last minute deals on their own site......no elevator! interesting shower but we never quite figured out how to fully operate it...big bath room and shower...big! Limited staff to carry bags...all we saw were small women! Nearly check out is on your own.....nice breakfast including eggs cooked to order and European buffet....historic building....very nicely restored.....I would return......especially if I found a reduced rate!

Very friendly and helpful staff, a large room with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The bathroom was enormous and the linens were top quality. The villa is just the right distance to the centre of Florence, about 15 minutes. A list of very good restaurants was provided, all within 5 minutes walking distance along with details of the main attractions and some lesser known ones.

My two daughters(9 & 11 years old) and I stayed at this place for 2 nights. The owner welcomed us so nicely and she made us comfortable immediately. When she took us our room, we were so impressed with the room and very spacious bathroom(looked like another bedroom). This place is a little bit far from all tourist spots. But you can walk to everywhere. If you don't like walking, you can take a bus easily. We did both. And we loved walking. I recommend you to walk because you will find very small lovely shops and cozy restaurants on the way. I hope many people can experience what we had.

My husband and I stayed at Villa Antea for five nights and felt like we were guests in a lovely private home yet felt a complete sense of privacy. The photos we saw online from Trip Advisor and from their website do not do this place justice. The room is beautiful and the bathroom is breathtaking. Everything was spotless and very high quality - the comfortable bed and pillows, the bed linens, the bath towels, the beautiful decor. Most of all Diletta was very helpful in helping us book tickets and Florina made such great coffee and breakfast each day. WiFi worked perfectly. And, most of all it was nice to be living in a quiet "residential area" instead of in the middle of busy Florence. We are a couple in our late sixties and walked to and from town each day with no problem. However, there is excellent bus service for those who are not inclined to walk.
