We (my sister & I) booked to stay at this hotel through Hotels.com. Unfortunately when we arrived our booking had been cancelled. Not by the hotel, but by the booking company. Tomasso was very apologetic even though it wasn't his fault. There were no rooms available so Tomasso rang another hotel for us and got us a room. He then offered us to stay for happy hour (which was complimentary). This included wine and nibbles and cool music. A lovely way to start your evening in Florence. As we left he apologized again profusely and asked us back to enjoy happy hour with them again (which we did). He gave us very good advice on where to go to eat and drink. I have never before encountered anyone so thoroughly helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here without question. Great location!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. I was most impressed with Fabrizio, who made it his personal mission to make sure that we had everything we needed-even tracking down a cell phone charger from another guest when my friend's died! The location is pretty central to the main tourist district, but in a more quiet street. We were there coincidentally for "White NIght" in which hoardes of people come to town for street festivities and music, and the most I heard in outside noise was a group of revelers singing as they passed. The rooms were clean and well appointed (more spacious than most hotels by European standards). The "free" happy hour and breakfasts were adequate and a nice touch. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the train station, if you are traveling that way (and it was a 10 Euro cab ride).

Room Tip: Our room faced a side street, which was quiet enough. They also provide white noise machines. Beware of the many steps leading up to this hotel and the tiny elevator if you have trouble with steps or phobias of small elevators, however we really only had to deal with this at the beginning and end of the day so it was not an issue (and the hotel goes out of its way to make sure that you are aware of the steps prior to your arrival and booking and they help with luggage).

Four of us stayed for three nights. The location was excellent. Great, kind, thoughtful staff. Yes, there are stairs but there is an intercom at the entry way. A staff member came down and hauled all the suitcases upstairs for us and disappeared before we could give him a tip!
The Happy Hour was a nice addition and the breakfast was more than ample. I highly recommend this hotel and do not hesitate to tell all my friends about it. The amenities were many making this a great hotel to stay at!

Me and my wife stood there for 3 nights in our honeymoon... and the service was excellent.. the happy hour time is great and the care for the guests is amazing.. we even got a bottle of wine as a gift for our honeymoon :)

The room we stood was a bit noise - not sure if it was a bar next to the hotel... but nothing that would disturb our sleep that much...

The movie selection in the room is excellent and free to use... very good to sleep watching some television for those who like it..
