My husband and I had a 3 night stay in Florence at the Benivieni. The hotel`s location is perfect for everything and the hotel has great rooms and facilities, having been recently refurbished. We had a ground floor room which was huge with a great, if small, bathroom. The staff at the hotel couldnt have been more friendly. The only small downside for us was the breakfast which was OK but lacked a great variety and the breakfast times were quite limited. However, we could overlook this because the hotel is family run and everything else was wonderful and lets face it if you wanted more food, there are plenty of cafes nearby. We`d definitely stay there again.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Benivieni from Sept 6 through Sept 10, 2011. The location of this hotel could not be better for exploring Florence. It is literally within the shadow of the Duomo and within a few minutes walk from the Uffizi gallery, the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza de la Signoria, shopping, dining etc etc etc! The hotel itself is charming... Our room was good sized, clean and very comfortable. The entire hotel is decorated very nicely and creates a very warm feel. Breakfast was always a treat....try the tomato and egg sandwiches!! The best part was that we saw the same friendly people each day... the folks at the front desk were the same each day and always seemed glad to see us come and go! Great value and a great choice for Florence!

Stayed at this hotel for one night in early Sept and we found it to be relatively charming, decent rooms with good beds, updated bathrooms, quiet, decent breakfast, friendly service, fabulous location for most common tourist sites. Would definitely recommend the place to certain friends and would go again myself for a longer stay. If the Duomo is a key spot for you, this hotel is just steps away. There is a well-stocked little grocery store just steps away as well.

Good experience from first booking on the phone with Paolo, to late and very wet arrival, helping with directions since GPS wasnt working, free wifi in lobby, collecting car for departure...all efficient and well done.

Room Tip: First floor top of the steps on the left was fine. Very quiet. Small but manageable and clean,moder...

This small hotel is very well located, the free wifi does work fairly well , Coquinarius the restaurant next door is just excellent . The hotel has two major problems . The first one is the shower , too much small . If you are over 85 kgs or more that five-ten in height you may be in serious problems , if less than that you may do ok.The second weakness is the breakfast ,poor variety , fix , the ony thing cooked is boiled eggs every day. You have to be there before 9:30 am or else the owners will close and let you now thay they are unhappy. The bed is nice , the sheets and towels are of good quality , however the courtain and the bed cover are dust and need cleaning. For the price they charge they should do a better job with the quality of their breakfast

This was my fourth trip to Florence and my first stay in Hotel Benivieni - and I have to say I am so sorry I didn't discover this hotel sooner! This hotel has an incredible location - close to absolutely everything you would want to see in Florence - the rooms are large, the air conditioning is wonderful and the hotel has really lovely finishes. Having stayed in three other hotels in Florence, I can say without any doubt that this hotel is leaps and bounds nicer than some of the other choices out there. It is also very reasonably priced! We were there for our honeymoon, and the staff was great - very helpful, friendly and warm. We have no complaints about this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Florence.
