We enjoyed our stay at the Adler Cavalieri. There were 3 of in the room and it was comfortable. The staff kept everything very clean and comfortable. The location was close to the train station which we appreciated, but it was an easy walk to all the sights.
There was plenty of food at breakfast, even for our gluten-free person. Everything tasted terrific too.
The staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed 3 nights here, and found nothing to complain about. The location is within walking distance of the downtown tourist attractions, the breakfast was good (with very attentive wait staff) and the room was good-sized. Also, we went up to the hotel bar 2 evenings, and enjoyed the casual seating and the free appetizers. The house wines were good, and several I our party enjoyed the Aperol Spritzers!
We heard that some friends' rooms had smaller bathrooms, but ours was quite large - and our room opened onto a semi-private courtyard as well.
Pros: Friendly staff, easy to find, nice breakfast options, comfortable rooms, clean, updated bathrooms. We were on the first floor facing the street, and barely heard any noise.
Cons: Not in the most appealing neighborhood. Very close to the train station, so great to use as a home base if you are doing day trips from Florence. 15-20 minute walk to the main Florence sights.
This was our first trip to Florence, the hotel is a 2 minute walk from the train station and 10-15 minute walk in to town, fantastic location.
We received a warm welcome, all staff were friendly and extremely helpful; you can book trips, tickets for tourist attractions etc through reception.
Our double room was a great size, however, the bathroom let it down, mouldy grouting and shower curtain which desperately needed replacing, hence our rating of 3.
Just around the corner from the train & bus station, and within easy walking distance of the centre. The style is authentic, the breakfast fabulous & the room quiet, perfectly comfortable, with fluffy towels, toiletries, & tea/coffee facilities.
Lots of squishy sofa area's in the Hotel where you can chill, plus a small bar & seated areas outside in the courtyard.
Head left when leaving the Hotel & there are a number of small, reasonably priced, roadside trattorias on the same street. Head further into the centre for more choice, but you will also pay more. We loved the restaurant above the Mercado Centrale (5 mins walk, back past the station) so much we went 3 times!
Although we didn't take advantage of it, the Hotel also offered a packed lunch for €5 if you booked in advance.
We very much enjoyed this hotel during our four days in Florence. It is very close to the train station and the bus station (great for day trips to Siena or Pisa). They provided a very good breakfast buffet. I do miss their cappuccino. The staff were very pleasant and efficient and helped clarify the steps for doing trips to Siena and Pisa. We stored our luggage there after checkout, and when we came back later that day from Pisa, we were soaked from a rainstorm. They had sympathy and offered to let us change into dry clothes in the lobby bathrooms before heading to the train station. We will definitely stay here again during any future visit to Florence.
