“Don't expect much”
Reviewed January 19, 2014 via mobile

Don't expect much. Hotel is in a good location, has a decent price and a clean room. Don't expect anything else. Service was also decent. Had to share a bathroom which wasn't much of a problem and find breakfast elsewhere. Overall, you get what you pay for.

we stayed 3 nights at Dali's Bellavista apartment and as others have said, Marco is fabulous Host. he showed us the local spots walking us to the apartment. is up a few flights, but nice and roomy save for the bit cozy bath, tho very standard for Italy. We loved the neighborhood, locals area and super close to hear of Florence. thanks Marco!

Marco runs a great facility and is a wonderful ambassador for his city. The Dali is in a convenient locations for all the sights in Firenze. We stayed at one of the apartments a couple blocks away from the hotel, which was in a perfect quiet neighborhood. Marco is truly passionate about sharing all that his fine city has to offer. He is very knowledgable and friendly, & was happy to help us find our way around. I would highly recommend staying at the Hotel Dali.

Room Tip: Inquire about the apartments outside the hotel itself - if you would like more privacy.

We had a lovely stay here in July 2013. Marco was a fantastic host, very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is basic but clean, good value, and in a terrific location - if I poked my head out the window I had a full view of the Duomo. The only downside was the absence of an air-conditioner - very hot in summer, and there are quite a few mosquitos around. Highly recommended otherwise.

A perfect location. We stayed for three days and found it to be the perfect base for getting lost in Florence.

A large room overlooking a central courtyard it was very quiet. This is also the hotel car park. We had our own bathroom but some rooms have shared facilities.

The lift was out of service when we were there so it was a bit of trek up the stairs with cases to the second floor but we managed.

The owner was very helpful with local information and speaks english very well.

There is parking but getting there is not for the faint hearted. The locals seem to be able to get large 4WD's into it but then they've had a fair bit of practice. The owner will help so so I'm sure you'll be OK.

You can't get into it on Sundays so you'll have to find a spot in the street. By a stoke of luck we found one outside the hotel but i'm sure that this will not always be the case. The hotel is inside the area where you need a permit to drive within Florence. The owner will sort all that out. It does mean that you can't come and go once you are parked without some bureaucratic hassles.

Lots of things to see within a few minutes walk. The Duomo bells will wake you up at 7.00am but then isn't that why you came to Florence.

A lovely breakfast spot to the right outside the carpark about a 50M walk great espresso and sweet treats.

A fantastic find!!! This hotel is for you if you want clean, spacious , convenient location with warm and genuine service. No food available on site but plenty of cafes locally and a large fridge in our room for wine and milk etc.We purchased provisions locally and ate breakfast in our room . Marco gladly provided a cork screw for a glass of wine early evening together with Peters warm welcome and lots of local travel tips. This hotel is not for you if you are a fan of large, corporate and impersonal. Be sure to state if you want a private bathroom and the rooms at the back of the hotel are not so effected by the street noise as those at the front.
All amenities are within a stroll including restaurants offering genuine Italian fare at less than you might expect. A real gem to which we will return as soon as we are able.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back look over a tranquil garden, those at the front the street. Be sure to ask for en...

Not too sure about the hotel, but we stayed in their Bellavista apartment down the road which was absolutely perfect for us. Location is excellent within easy walking distance nearly all points of interest. Views from the windows are beautiful across the city rooftops and our to the hills beyond. You can see the dome of the duomo with a bit of neck straining.

Having a space of our own really suited us and meant we could buy fresh food from the markets to cook for ourselves which was lovely. Very romantic accommodation for young couples and great value for money outside of peak season.

Only drawback is that it is on the 4th floor of the building with no lift, so can get tiring walking all those steps every day!
