We stayed in a great room with a view of the Duomo. You cannot beat the location and the price of this hotel. The breakfast was nice, bed comfortable and the noise canceling shutters were amazing! Kelly helped us book tickets to the Academia and was very helpful and friendly. Just recommended this place to a friend of mine. Loved it!

A 2 night stay in February 2013

Location;
The hotel was in the main square opposite the cathedral/duomo and within a short walk from the main tourist attractions, so an excellent location for those wanting to be central. It was on the third floor of a large communal building which wasn't clearly sign-posted. It wasn't difficult to find, but it may be worth bearing this in mind.

Room;
A clean and comfortable room which was cleaned daily. There was no TV or safe. The room had lovely views overlooking the square. Due to the location, there was some noise from the square, this didn't bother me at all, but some people may prefer somewhere more quiet.

Bathroom;
A small but clean bathroom. Towels and toiletries were provided. Shower was powerful and there were no issues with hot water.

Breakfast;
Breakfast was provided on a tray in the bedroom. It was basic but plenty sufficient.

Staff;
I met a male and female who worked there who were both very friendly and spoke good english. Unlike a hotel, they are not present 24/7.

Value for money;
I thought it was slightly over-priced, but I didn't mind paying that for somewhere clean and comfortable in a central location.

Note;
I would say this was more of a guesthouse than a hotel. Also, check-in was between 0800 and 1400, however the room was not ready until 1400, so best not to rush!

We stayed 3 nights at Soggiorno Battistero in December 2012 and it was great! Yes there are stairs (68 stairs so if you have trouble with stairs this is not the place for you ) but it is really part of the experience of staying in this great old building. A view of the Duomo from our window, Wow! Breakfast delivered to your room who can complain about that? Hot water, towels, clean room, nice beds and reasonable rates; really all we needed. Kelly and Luca couldnt of been nicer they answered all of our questions and gave advice when we asked for it. Staying there really made it easy to see all the sites in Florence.

I stayed here 2 nights (11/24-11/25/12). Soggiorno Battistero B&B is ideally located. The owners (Kelly and Lucas) are very friendly and trustworthy. I read reviews before staying here...very positive. I had no problem finding this place or with my stay. I read others mention the stairs issue, on 3rd floor, no lift. It did not bother me a bit, but I guess if you are elderly or have physical limitations, this may not be the place for you. The room was very clean, small (what I expected from other reviews; ideal for solo traveler as myself), great view of the Plaza. Breakfast was good, and is delivered to your room on time ( you are asked for preference when you check-in). I did see other rooms that accommodate two people, good size. The price for this room is a good value for the location. If you want to stay at a 3,4, or 5 star hotel, and spend lots of cash, you might want to look else where, this is not that kind of place. Nothing negative for Soggiorno Battistero, they offer a nice clean, safe accommodation for a good price.
Thanks Kelly and Lucas :)

We stayed at the b&b two nights. It is located in the piazza del duomo, about a 5-10 min walk from the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia. Rooms have a view of the baptistery of the duomo and the square. The rooms themselves are basic, but large and clean.

The owners, who speak fluent English (as well as Italian), were very helpful. They were able to give us directions to some of the non-touristy stores, which had better prices.

Room Tip: The b&b is on the third floor. As we are writing this, an elevator is being installed.
