The hostel itself is very easy to get to from the main train station in Florence, only a 2 minute walk and that is no exaggeration! Our room was on the ground floor, with the garden and patio just outside which was really nice! The breakfast offered was an eclectic mix of cereal, toast, rice, pasta, tirimassu, fruit and eggs! There was also a resturant facility which offered cheap food!
The best thing about the hostel was that it offered free walking tours of Florence after breakfast, we went on 2. The guides were very knowledgeable and showed us different sites on each day. They also took us to gelato bars which were amazing.
The reception of the hostel was filled with computers and paintings and the walls were decorated very nicely with lots of different murals!!
There was no lock out period which was nice and there was wifi and air conditioning in the rooms!
I would absolutely recommend this hostel to anyone!!

We stayed in the hotel section. Room was comfy and good space. Breakfast was full on a lot of variety. Excellent location especially if arriving by train only a minute or so walk round the corner. Would definitely recommend.

We are a mature couple that went traveling. Stayed in a hostel for the first time, ever. This is a convenient way of touring, the place is very well looked after, is family owned, beautifully decorated to match to the environment, Is located only two streets away from the train station , in a small street, away from too much noise. The accommodation is clean, beautiful courtyard and good breakfast. The staff is friendly and the place is very secure , has a laundry at a very reasonable cost

Room Tip: Away from the main road, with window.

This review is for the 6-Bed Female Room. The hostel itself was great and enjoyed my stay. The staff is also warm and helpful. (People in Florence just seem to be friendlier than in Rome in general, but if you need help at the reception, they're pretty good and won't just give you a one word answer like some places in Rome.)

If you are worried about the same things I am when choosing affordable places abroad, then this place would make you very happy. Bathrooms are CLEAN. The public one in the hall and the one in our room was always clean when I came in. The bed was comfortable enough (it's not like a hotel bed, but then again, you chose to stay in a hostel). But it's clean (and no bed bugs for those worried about that). The was a computer in our room and a computer station downstairs, but there's free wifi anyway, so you can just use your phone. There is a laundry facility, 24/7 reception, BIG SPACIOUS lockers in our room (I could fit my entire traveling backpack, 3 bags, plus some in there), and their breakfast was the best I had in a hostel so far. (It was almost like a school cafeteria with a bunch of cooked, hot items and cold items as well.) Also, it's a 5 minute walk to the train station. (But make sure you take the street on the side, can't remember the name, you'll see it on a map, otherwise the walk will be more like 15 minutes). Also, they have free walking tours around 10am.

Overall, pretty good place to stay.

The hostel is at a stone throw distance from train station and every other attractions. The road is very long so make sure you enter at the right end, other wise its long walk. If you want to have packed drinking water, buy it at the hostel, its the cheapest. The hostel provides free luggage storage.

Hostel was in a great location. It was very clean and organized. There was a curfew, and the doors get locked. There is, however, 24hr reception. There was a free breakfast buffet every morning that was pretty decent, and the free walking tour in the morning was pretty cool. The beds were clean and relatively comfortable, but I would advise against getting a top bunk if you can help it, the ladders to go up were very wobbly. There are free computers, but very slow. Also free wireless.

Room Tip: try to avoid a top bunk bed

We booked a room with a bathroom in the hostel and were given a room in the adjacent hotel with a rack price of €160 but we paid the €90 fee for Archi Rossi.

Room was very nice, good beds, TV, computer and internet, air-con, breakfast buffet included (generous with hot and cold options, not a single pastry and a coffee)

The hostel is literally just a few minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella train station and Via Faenza itself is a pedestrian street with many restaurants and leads to the main cathedral.
