We actually stayed in a room that was about half a block from the hotel. A converted apartment I think. It was OK, but not what I was expecting. Room was clean, but very plain. Bed was OK. The breakfast was very good though, as was access to the train station.

This hotel is rated as 3 star, it should be at least 4 star, and provides 5 star service. It is situated opposite the train station which made it easily accessible. Office personnel were great. The advice and assistance given by Daniele was above the call of duty. The manager (sorry can't remember his name) was also excellent. We wanted to stay 2 nights but could only stay 1 as they were fully booked for the 2nd night. Daniele arranged our 2nd nights accommodation and advised us about a local restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was included in the tariff and Wi-fi was free. We had a very comfortable room with plenty of space. Even though we were not staying the 2nd night we were allowed to leave our bags at the hotel all day while we went on a bus trip. The following day we were able to leave our bags again while we went site seeing around the city. Highly recommend this property as value for money

Very close to the Central Station (across the street) in a street so crowded that you would make you think you took the wrong decision and on a second floor, the hotel was much more than what we were expecting.
Personnel is nice to clients and always ready to help (although I got the feeling that all italians are like that). The rooms are confortable and clean. Washroom faultless.
Within a walking distance to the historic and artistic center. Since being in front of the train station is great if you want to visit other cities, such as Pisa. Great for the airport for the same causes, the shuttle for the airport leaves from the Station.
We couldn't chose better.
If you are traveling on low budget this is the place to go.
Breakfast included but don't get your hopes high.

The front office staff were amazing! They were very helpful, especially the front office personnel who serviced us on our arrival. (Didnt get his name, but Daniele is equally good). We had the quad room and it was really big and spacious. We had our own space despite it. And wifi is amazing! Breakfast is ok, if you are not expecting a full spread. It is near the main station, where all the tour buses are as well. So it is a good choice. Will definitely go back there if I were to visit the place again. Even when we are facing the terminal, it is not noisy.

We recently stayed in the Aurora Hotel. Very good value for money. We stayed in the block behind the actual hotel. It was very comfortable and considering it is right next to the bus station and train station we didn't hear any noise from either.
The location was very convenient, not far to walk to anywhere and handy for getting to and from the airport by bus or train.
The staff were extremely helpful.
I would recommend staying here.

I didn't know what to expect of this hotel because of the mixed reviews from other travellers, but I decided to try my luck because of its location - very, very near to SMN train station and SITA bus station and they have free wi-fi. As I was arriving from Venice by train, being near the train station was a plus. My first impression of the hotel and the room was not good, our room was dark & gloomy (not enough lighting), the floor was dirty. However, after we made a call to frontdesk, they immediately sent somebody to check ( he brought some light bulbs, probably due to some miscommunication). After I told him there's not enough lights/lamps, he promptly brought in a table lamp, and that helps to some extent. I showed him the dirty floor and he also promptly came back with a broom and swept ( I expected a vacuum cleaner!). Anyway, I would give him a 5/5 for his effort and promptness. Although the bus station is just below our room, my husband & I didn't have any problem sleeping, maybe because the buses don't operate at night and because we were too tired. Being next to the bus station helps if you want to go shopping at The Mall. The breakfast room was small, looking out into a small garden and quite tastefully furnished. Breakfast itself was sufficient. They were in the process of renovating some facilities but that did not cause any problem. Frontdesk staff were all helpful. My overall rating- good , but they can do better if they employ a few more staff to do the cleaning, room maintenance & taking care of the breakfast & breakfast room - I saw only 1 and same person doing all these! A reminder, exit the train station through the right side exit, not the front main exit, and the hotel is just across the road, about 50 metres away.

This hotel has super modern rooms with multi lighted ceilings that change every few seconds. They have very clean, large bathrooms with toilets, bidets, large showers, and other amenities that are not often found in many other hotels in Europe. The location is directly across the street from the train station and it is a short walk to the main tourist attractions that Florence has to offer. Staff interaction is minimal but the front desk is friendly and multi-lingual. Paid 78 Euro per night but hotel has a mandatory 6 euro city fee they add on as well.
