This hotel is great, not outstanding. They gave us a discount for Rick Steve's book, but we also had to pay cash (totally fine deal). The hotel is within walking distance to the train station, but you might want a taxi if you have luggage. And it is literally across the street from the Duomo. When you are first arriving, pay attention to the top of the building-the hotel is the 4th floor of another building and if you're not looking, you'll miss it.
Breakfast-totally adequate but not too fancy. Good pastries.
Room-a little small, dark. One bed was weirdly shaped, but worked fine. Bathroom was awesome. And it was down a flight of stairs-no elevator for luggage. AC was a little weak, but we were able to find a way to work around that. I worried about late-night noise because the Duomo is right there, but it wasn't really a problem.
Service-good, friendly, and someone was always at the front desk.
We really enjoyed our stay here, and the location could not be beat. We would stay there again, if we are lucky enough to return to Florence.
