The Fountain of Neptune by Bartolomeo Ammannati and Giambologna, denotes dominance of the seas. It is constructed of brilliant white marble. Neptune, god of the sea, is on a chariot pulled by four horses, and ringed by Tritons and sea spirits. It stands proud in the Piazza Della Signoria, beside the Palazzo Vecchio. We visited during the daytime but apparently it is lit up beautifully at night. Well worth seeing.

The enormous white marble monument of Neptune, standing in the middle of the fountain. He is surrounded by bronze statues, and with this contrast, rules over the sculptural group. He is one of the main features of Piazza Della Signoria but isn't able to challenge the glory from the slender David.

We couldn’t stop kissing in front of this dang fountain! So, so gorgeous at night, and we just loved this area & this lit up fountain! Visit here for a romantic evening. :-) (There was even musicians playing on stage the night we were there. Amazzzzzzing!)

Fountain of Neptune is an imposing one at Piazza della Signoria that features the Roman God of the Oceans. The sculptures thereat was designed and built by Bartolomeo Ammannoti. Suggested to come here to snap-shoot good photos in the early morning in order to avoid huge crowds in normal hours.
