The place is run by an italian family, does not look like a tourist trap at all. Since its not in the middle of all the touristic area (10 min of foot from the Palazzo Vecchio), it does not get the same attention as other restaurants. If you get the chance, avoid eating in the touristic area and try local restaurants like this one: where italian families are used to going and have their meal.
When we were there, there were only italian families except us.
Their traditional and new pizzas are great. They use natural fermenting proccess, which gives the pizza a different flavor which my wife is capable of noticing .

I did not go to the La Divina - La Divina came to me. The family came to our farmhouse stay at Podere Felceto in Panzano! Our group of eight (including two young children) somehow managed to eat THIRTEEN pizzas! Everything fresh, everything fun and everything DELICIOUS! Go to them or have them come to you - well worth it any way you "slice" it!

This family-run, pizza heaven makes the best pizza I have ever eaten. Taste is beyond any other, ingredients are amazing and dough is light, but properly chewy, too. "Biologico" artisans who should have larger ristorante, so even more people can go there. As good as or better than any in Naples.

We spent 2 weeks at an agriturismo (Podere Felceto) in Panzano in Chianti, and the La Divina Family - father, mother and son - came to make pizza for us one evening at the farm, cooking it in the woodburning stove there...wonderful people...and taught us about their techniques and philosophy. We then went to their ristorante in Florence later, while we stayed near Fiesole.

Seeing the "David" again was wonderful, too, but this was one step better.

one of the best pizzas in florence very near santa croce square. they use good products and the result is fantastic. my digestion is not perfect, particurarly having eaten pizza, in which tomato and mozzarella are a bad company. pizza of divina's is light... but with a topping very rich. some of the products are those of Slow Food... never found in other places.
the small room can be very crowded in lunch or dinner time!
bravi!

Located about a 2-3 minute walk from Santa Croce is this small, family-run, gem. I agree with a lot of what has said in that the owners will go out of their way to help and make the most "divine" pizzas that you would ever taste. Do not forget to try one of her pies.
