Before going any further you need to know the cost of our room for 2 nights was 153 euros. This hotel has a great location about 2 blocks from the train station, about 2 blocks from the Duomo (which is fantastic),1 block from the touring busses, about a 15 minute walk to the Birdge of Gold (Ponte Vecchio), and a short walk to the Da Vinci museum. This hotel is a great value if you are not looking for much and just need a place to sleep. The room was clean but very poorly appointed. There was a tub with a shower in it but no shower curtain and we had to borrow a hair dryer from the front desk. It did have a TV, the breakfast was terrible so we ate breakfast out both mornings and had to pay extra for wi-fi, plus schlepping our own bags up 2 flights of stairs. The staff was courteous and helpful with directions, but it is hard to overcome the first inpression of the dingy, dirty lobby, carpet and stairs unless you want a very inexpensive place to sleep.

Room Tip: choose a room on the first floor as you have to carry your bags up about 20 steps to get to the room...

I booked the hotel through "hotelscombined.com" Olotels. It's no way 3 star but 1.5 star hotel. When I did my selection, it was WiFi free of charge included in the room and to find out on arrival WiFi is charged additional and quite pricey for it too. So maybe hotels combined need to fix this up on their website details. The room was OK, clean and so was the bathroom but the hotel and especially the bathroom felt like and smelt like OLD peoples home. We didn't expect too much for what we paid! Being in Florence mid JULY is crazy hot and the AC was just LOUD and not cooling the room down at all. You can't sleep with windows open because the main street is full of trucks, cars and late night partiers! Lucky it was only 2nights in Florence! Great location! Central and walking distance to the train station and pretty much everywhere! However, I would stay else where on the next trip to Florence.

Client service is not good, beds are not comfortable at all (aged mattresses), there is no elevator and building has a lot of chairs, WiFi is not included and charged at a high price.

Location is good (between train station and main touristic places).

Booked this hotel on a last minute deal! Location was very good, our was on the top floor, with NO elavator! When we opened the door the smell of citronella was overwhelming, NEVER a good sign! We didn't even sleep under the covers for fear of being eaten alive!! The bathroom was average and the bed was NOT comfortable with a very loud and out dated air con machine which was so loud we could hardly sleep! My best advise would be to pick a hostel over this hotel! The breakfast didn't even have orange juice, a basic in ANY hotel! I am not a picky tourist and most places don't bother me but this is by no means a three star hotel and doesn't deserve the recognition!! Don't get caught like us!

The hotel has a superb location, half way between the main train station and the Duomo. The hotel disappointed from arrival, on a very hot July afternoon. Our room was on the top (fourth) floor, and there is no lift. The stairway (with 83 steps) is not air conditioned, and the carpet is dirty and worn. The air conditioner in our room was only a small, portable unit that put out more noise than cooling. The hotel's English website states that wi-fi is included in the room, but they charge up to 9 Euro for 2 hours, and their wi-fi router was broken the four days we were there. There was no clock or hair dryer in the room. The breakfast was, at best, adequate. A relative called the hotel for me twice one evening, while I was in the room, and was told I did not answer. The phone never rang. After sweating through two terribly hot nights, I asked whether we could get a fan. Thankfully, the portable air conditioner magically worked much better that night. Overall, the location is great, but the hotel is tired, over-rated with three stars, and over-priced when you factor in hidden costs.

Room Tip: There are no disabled-accessible rooms.

We landed up here by chance via a website that didn't tell us the hotel name before we booked. However this hotel was so central, almost right next to the duomo! The breakfast wasn't very good and it seemed that everything including the cereal was terrible quality. However the rooms were very clean and spacious and the staff very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that we had to carry our heavy bags up the stairs as there was no lift, one had to pay for the wifi and the parking in the garage cost EUR25 a night which could get very pricey during a long stay. I would, however, probably stay here again.

First of all, it's a mistake to use the stars a hotel has as a guide. They don't seem to indicate much other than what comes with the hotel. As for this three star hotel, it doesn't live up. Our room had a slight vinegar smell and the air conditioner was pretty loud. Plus, the room just felt dirty. Our queen bed was two old twins put together. The sheets were rough so sleeping was somewhat difficult. The included breakfast was disappointing considering it did not include coffee or espresso, those were extra. I won't complain about there not being an elevator since I can carry a bag, but anyone with a handicap would have great difficulty. Oh, and WiFi isn't free as well.
The only redeeming quality is that it is right by the duomo. Aside from that I would not recommend.
