Owner description: Our project was born on 1980. Just after a master in Philosophy, Moradei Andrea founded in collaboration with other teachers the Italian language and culture centre for foreigners Koinè. This is the starting date for all our Italian language and culture programs. In 1996 we opened the Enoteca de’ Giraldi, offering a cultural approach to Tuscan wine and food. The Enoteca was from the first moment both a wine restaurant then a point of meeting for people interested in wine tasting, cooking lessons and wine tours. In 2003 we opened the wine and food services agency Vinarium, with the aim of offering the best of our wine and food culture, and at the same time guaranteeing amusement and professionalism to our clients. Today Vinarium offers guided wine tasting in the best Florentine enotecas, cooking lessons in historical buildings and guided visits to the best Tuscan wine makers.

Our driver was friendly and helpful, but all in all the wine tour (Bolgheri + brunello) was not a good value. They changed the tour twice at the last minute (and ditched one of the wineries). Won't go with them again.

Thank you for your review,
We are sorry you are disappointed with your tour experience. We work for the pleasure of our clients and when they are not satisfied we are the first to be sorry.
Nevertheless we need to express some clarifications: Before your arrival in Italy, we sent you several e-mails to clarify that was not possible to visit more than 2 wineries in the Bolgheri area and more than 3 wineries in the Montalcino area, because our visits last a minimum of one hour and half to a maximum of 2 hours and the wineries close at 06:00pm. You also asked for a pick up in Florence and a drop off in Montalcino, during your tour in Bolgheri, and a pick up in Montalcino and a drop off in Florence, during your tour in Montalcino. All this has not helped us to plan a correct day time schedule, devoting the appropriate time to the winery visits. We didn’t change the tour twice at the last minute and we didn't skip one of the wineries. All ours programs offer two wineries per day. On request we can add an extra winery, depending on the area, or we can change the itinerary following the client requests, as in your case.
Most importantly, all of our services are clearly listed and described on our website and in our correspondence with you, with prices. Our offer has corresponded exactly to what we presented. You accepted at first our proposals, then you decided, no one knows basing on which elements, that our prices were too expensives. Taking advantage of our payment method, which requires a deposit of 35% at time of reservation and a balance on the day of the service, you paid, ten days later, Euro 220 less than the amount due. Unilaterally and without giving any reason.
And now you come to give lessons on how we work, using a social network. It is not serious.

Thank you,

Andrea & Barbara

I was me a week in Toscana in a cooking school. Barbara Bartolotta, who works in Vinarium cooking school, taught me. We went by the last day into Vinarium cooking school and what we were cooking in the school. The school is very good, the team is there are a darling and the stocks very much very much fresh. I preserve very beautiful memories in my heart from the school and Barbara.

Before traveling to Tuscany, we started our communication with Andrea at Vinarium to structure the "right" wine tasting trip through the Chianti region for 10 people. He was VERY attentive and recommended several types of tours. Ultimately, we were picked up (and dropped off) at our villa near Lucca in a comfortable air-conditioned van for a full day tour. Valentina helped to make the drive interesting and introduced us to 2 small vineyards, a delicious lunch prepared by the owners of one of the vineyards, wine tastings, and the charming town of Castellina. It was a perfect day and definitely one of the highlights of our Italian adventure!

My wife and I spent five hours with Valentina. The tour was because we went to two boutique vineyards and met with the owners. Both owners had very good relationships with Valentina which added a lot to the tour. We were not rushed and we felt completely open to ask any question on any subject related to the business; why did you buy a bottling machine, why is Russia your largest market will your children take over the business? Valentina also helped us ship bottles back to the states, making the purchase easy. We highly recommend the tour.

We worked with Vinarium to arrange for two chefs (Valentina and Barbara) to come to our villa, near Volterra, to instruct our group in a cooking class. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The chefs were very professional and taught our group many great lessons on the techniques of pasta making and Tuscan cooking, as well as how to find the best ingredients and how to substitute when you don't have exactly the right ingredient, depending on what is in season and what you have in your home! Both chefs were very sweet and gracious! Everyone got the chance to try their hand at making each of the dishes we prepared. The food was phenomenal, it was so great to finally learn how to cook some of the Tuscan dishes that we have all been enjoying for years! At the end of the class they served us the dishes prepared, all paired with wonderful local wines. It was a brilliant afternoon and evening, and a memory we will never forget! Thank you so much for everything!
