the 414 steps is worth the climb and you will be rewarded with an excellent view including the Duomo (don't climb the Duomo so that you can take picture of it + unobstructed sunset)

Our hotel was right next door, and the bells were better than the best alarm clock. Only saw this from the outside; no idea if you can go inside and have a look around

About 250 years before Renaissance, the architectural and exterior design genius of Giotto expressed here perhaps better than anywhere else. And wait to hear the bells ring...

Stunning view of the entire city from the top. Chance to take pretty pictures of the Basilica and the Baptistery.

Although there are many steps to the top of the tower there are three levels which allow for stops and catching your breath. It was really fun to make the trek up the tower to see the views of Florence from the top. There are terrific views from all sides.Everyone we encountered going up or coming down were congenial and made room for you to pass or stop as needed.
