“Excellent Stay!”
Reviewed November 25, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

I would recommend this property in a heartbeat if you are visiting Florence! Just a stone's throw from the heart of the city centre (10 mins walk) is perfectly located near all the city's amenities with a number of shops and restaurants nearby. The property itself is amazingly kitted out making the most of the existing space. Decoration gives the impression of brand new mixing well with the old style that Florence inspires! The best thing about it was the patio, where you can actually have a dinner of 8 people comfortably! The flat was spotless clean and Lou was a rather helpful host with giving us advice and helping us out. We will definitely re-book when we go back to Florence!

“Comfortable, well-equipped, well-situated & stylish appartment"”
Reviewed November 13, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

My parents stayed in this apartment whilst visiting me in Florence for a week.

The apartment was perfect for them: not large, but the use of space is incredibly clever and it never felt pokey (although they didn't spend a lot of time there during the day, and I would say that for more than 2 people it would be too small). The furnishings, as well as being highly functional, are in very good taste. The pull-down bed is big and easy to use, if a bit heavy. The bathroom, particularly, is lovely. The balcony is large and in summer would be particularly gorgeous but even in October my parents used it every evening. The area of the city in which the flat is situated is interesting, lively and central, but out of the way of the huge crowds of tourists that might be a problem elsewhere. The flat is a few flights of stairs up and faces inwards from the road so you aren't disturbed by passing cars or people. The price was also very reasonable.

I would thoroughly, thoroughly recommend this flat to any couple coming to stay in Florence for a short break.

“Great apartment, great service”
Reviewed October 8, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

The apartment is great, extremely clean, nice and modern, beautiful decking out the back which was great to sit out at night on and have breakfast on. Its about the same size as the total apartment so very big! Lou, the owner, couldnt have been more helpful, picked us up from the train station and took us to the apartment for free and is kindly sending back some things we forgot. He also recomended some great restaurants.

Stayed with my wife and 12 week old daughter so was perfect for us. Thanks again Lou, hopefully visit again some time :-)

“Fantastic Apartment away from the hordes”
Reviewed September 18, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We stayed in this apartment for 5 nights and it was ideal. Close to the centre of Florence but far enough away to feel like a refuge. We ate locally every night using Lou's recommendations and had some spectacular meals. The apartment was small but big enough for two and the terrace was a real bonus. The shower was excellent and the pull down bed very comfortable despite my misgivings. No lift so be prepared to carry your bags up the stairs. Finally, being met by Lou at the station was great, taking the stress out of finding our bearings in a new city. Looking forward to staying at this apartment again.

“Excellent spot to plan your exploits in Firenze”

This apartment is really well thought out and includes a huge balcony that is welcome in the warmer weather. The apartment is located over the river from the city centre, so you are away from the tourist hordes and in what feels more like a genuine community. Lou has left comprehensive tips on the apartment and what is on offer in the surrounds. His restaurant tips were rigorously tested and found to be all good experiences (but widely ranging from basic eating to more sophisticated). An excellent place to stay.

“Perfect apartment, perfect location”
Reviewed September 15, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

This beautiful apartment provided us with perfect accommodation in a great location.

Everything was catered for in the apartment. We cooked several meals using the pasta provided by Lou and ragu we bought from the deli 1 minute away. The standard of the kitchen and bathroom was modern and excellent. The terrace was an additional bonus and great for chilling out and enjoying the sun. Plus you get a great view of the neighbouring church.

There are plenty of excellent restaurants near by. Trattoria Pandemonio was our favourite. Great food and incredibly friendly staff. We even got a hug from the owner on the way out. There's an icecream place further on down the road from the restaurant where we got pudding. Yum!

We were able to walk into the main centre of the city in about 15 minutes. We enjoyed this walk because you can peek in shops and get a sense of the city. Also, being slightly out of the tourist centre was ideal. I felt the location of the apartment was more real compared with the touristy centre. Don't get me wrong, the centre is fascinating and beautiful, but being able to retreat was perfect.

I'm certain we'll be returning to Florence, and if we do, we'll be staying here again!

Thanks fora great holiday Lou!

“Delightful place away from the madding crowd of Florence”
Reviewed July 31, 2013 for a stay in July 2013

A very cleverly designed studio apartment with a wonderful deck featuring a view of the nearby church dome in a quiet and fascinating area of Florence. Most places for rent in Florence have very little, if any, outside space which can be claustrophobic for an Australian like me who loves to eat and drink al fresco. This is the exception!
