My friend and I stayed here on our only night in Florence. The hotel is close to the train station which was a plus. The staff were super friendly and spoke great English. The room was comfortable and clean. The shower had wonderful hot water. The breakfast the following morning had a nice assortment of food. From croissants and bread to meat and cheese and cereal, there was a great variety. They were kind enough to let us store our suitcases at the hotel after we checked out so we didn't have to tote them all over the city. It is a great value for the money. I would recommend anyone to stay here and would stay here again myself if I go back to Florence!

Stay away. If you do go for this, beware of the tricks of the hotel staff.

This is slightly better than a dorm-style hostel - certainly not worth the price.

I had booked at hotel Azzi (3-star hotel?!), but was put up at hotel Anna's (a 2-star hotel). Most would not know if it is a different place, as there are three or four hotels names put up in the same building! We noticed and pointed it out, and were then given a room at hotel Azzi.

The place is a run-down building and is at best a hostel catering to travelling students and customers tricked by the misinformation put on websites. Heard of couple of other couples complaining about the noise from drunk students that seem to be audible through the thin walls.

Pretty bad breakfast and even worse customer service from the staff.

This was the worst hotel experience through our four-city trip through Italy.

Room Tip: Stay away. If you do have to go for this because of cost, make sure you get a room that you paid for...

we were surprised to have the friendliest service. the 'blue room' is more than comfortable for our family of 5. very nicely decorated room with fantastic feeling the moment you enter. and dont forget to check the bathroom! finely decorated to suit your holiday mood.

the location is great too, near the famous leather market. if you check a bit there is 'mondo albion' shoe making shop where you can buy custom made leather boots at good price which will be ready for you overnight. and it is especially handcrafted by mr albion himself! nearby also nice restaurants and parking lot

you will never regret hotel azzi, it seems to have it all.

The Azzi is a very well situated and well appointed older-style hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very good, the staff were very friendly and helpful and all spoke excellent english. There was a cute little bar downstairs where you could chill over a very reasonably priced drink or coffee. But the bonus was the receptionist who offered to sing us a song when we sat in the bar area. "Oh gawd...this might be bad" was my first thought. How wrong I was! What followed was 5 or so songs in the most amazing soprano voice (self accompanied on the piano), including the most moving version of "Ave Maria" I have ever heard. I had tears in my eyes throughout. We were lucky enough to hear her again the following day. She was incredibly modest about her "hobby" but she was literally stopping people in the streets with her awesome talent. I hope she is still there when next I visit beautiful Firenze, but regardless, I would still stay at the Azzi.

This place is full of character, the furnishings and bathrooms are a bit run down and worn but we were still happy to stay here and would return. The location is hard to beat, its a very short walk to the train station and many of the attractions in Florence. I have had better breakfast selections but overall was OK with the spread that was provided each day. Its worth a try.

Room Tip: This property has some rooms across the street from the main hotel, I wouldn't reccomend them. T...

I was happy with the hotel and the service of the staff. Breakfast is included in the price. Its in a lovely convenient location. The hotel feels very authentic.

It was just a shame the building work next door started at 7.30am each morning (including Saturday) so it wasnt as relaxing as it could have been.

Room Tip: Ask to be on the other side to the building site!
