Let me start by staying we stayed here because of the price. We booked our room through Venere and got if for cheap because the bathroom was next door.

Upon arrival we were surprised with how dark and dingy the reception area appeared although we were greeted warmly. We got there early morning so we couldn't check in right away (which is totally understandable, we expected as much) but were told we could leave our bags, which we then deposited into a room filled with lots of other traveler's bags. This part did concern me a bit, being that someone could just take our bags but they were still there when we returned late afternoon. We were also given a map and there was a restroom we could use before heading out to explore.

Upon returning we were shown to our room. This part did confuse us a bit because we were shown to the second floor and stayed in the part that stated it was Hotel Anna's. (?) Never the less the room was clean and we had ac. Our bathroom was right next door and was clean and the water got very hot.

Overall we were satisfied with our one night stay for the price. Would we stay here again? Probably not.

Pros: Location to Train Station, Clean Rooms and Clean Bathroom, Free Wi-fi

Cons: Receptions area a little dark and dingy, Not as new and pretty as their pictures show

I've stayed in Albergo Azzi for three nights in August and the place surprised from the very beginning - nice staff, English speaking as well. Stayed in MARINE room - large, clean and artistic as the hotel itself. Best value for the money if you're in Florence.

Our family of three had a great stay in Florence and in Albergo Azzi. A perfect location and close to everything. We had a big comfortable room, as well as spacious bathroom, all very clean (stayed at Marine part). The hotel's very artistic, just what you expect from Florence. The breakfast was very good. Excellent choice for a stay in beautiful Firenze.

We thought we were getting to stay in the main hotel but the hotel clerk (who wasn't the least bit friendly) took us outside the hotel to an attached building, up at least 3 flights of stairs into our room- all the way at the end of the hall. And left us there- without a word. It was dated, the shower leaked all over the floor and it wasn't at all what we were expecting. Although the location of this hotel seemed convenient- we felt that it was dishonest of the hotel to make us think we would be staying one place and even after clearly taking us to another building they kept insisting it was Hotel Azzi. Anyway- breakfast was nice and Florence was beautiful but this Hotel was disappointing.

Room Tip: Ask you will be staying in the Hotel or would they be stuffing you in overflow...

The first thing to note is this is an older hotel and building, more like a pension or a bed and breakfast. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good with a reasonable amount of variety. The cappucino was excellent and really made the breakfast. The hotel was not where the TripAdvisor app put it which was on a totally different block so it took us a few to find it. Once there, it looks unimpressive but if you're prepared for the type of hotel it is, you will find it charming and quaint. THe room was huge and easily accomodated all four of us. It could have used some repairs as the floor by the bathroom was water damaged and the light fixture was missing a globe but it was clean. One thing that I did not get from this site or the hotel site was that the shower, at least in our room, was completely open to the bathroom. No curtain, no doors, just a shower in the corner of the room. Very European and not a problem but that's where the water damage was coming from on the floor outside the bathroom. Just be prepared that with a family, nobody else can come into the bathroom while you're showering and you have to be careful since water can splash all over. Luckly the bathroom was also huge so it didn't cause a big problem. The hotel completely looks like it wouldn't have air conditioning but there was an individual unit in our room that kept the temperature nice and cool. Overall, the price and value were good and it was well located. In such a great city as Florence, it was a good place to stay close to the train station (walking) and a reasonable walk to the museums and everything else of importance in the city. Be sure to ask them 7 days in advance to get your museum tickets reserved for you.
