A perfect base for exploring Florence, central but quiet, large rooms with high ceilings. Really welcoming and helpful hosts who helped us book tickets to the Uffizi by ringing them for us and booked us a taxi to get to the hire car centre (which had to be moved out of town because of the cycling world championships). Fantastic breakfast with fresh coffee (lovely cappuccino) and eggs cooked how you like them with a frittata also available each day we were there. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I visited the hotel in early this year. Though it is a rainy season, i still feel quite inspiring when straying in this cozy home. The couple are the most wonderful persons i met in Italy: they treat every guest as the family and they treat the hotel as the whole life for them in the past 10years. The room is clean and delicated, and the food is local and tasty, the coffee is great! I was so in to this city when staying in this hotel.

The breakfast was beyond our expectations! It was huge and delicious!
We recommend this B&B without any hesitation: perfect location on a street leading to the Duomo (5min) and next to a square where free open cinema takes places during summer; huge and delicious breakfast served in your room by the delightful hosts; clean bathroom and comfortable beds; drinks in the frigde, tv, air-con ...
The owners will show you the free parking located 2min from the B&B and will readily register your car with authorities as you will be located in the limited traffic zone of Florence.
We stayed three nights and did not want to leave. We will definitely come back at our first occasion.

We consider ourselves lucky to be able to book this absolutely charming place considering all the review and accolades we read from trip-advisor, and that there are only five guest rooms. In terms of location it is absolutely swell- 5-7 minutes walk from Duomo which is essentially the center of Florence in many ways. You will be given a key upon check in allowing you to come and go as you please. The rooms are spacious, very clean with attached bathrooms. Three rooms faces the street while two faces an internal courtyard with banana trees ( didn't know they grow in rome!) breakfast is a celebrated affair every morning. It is served in the room be Anna who takes absolute pride it preparing the best setting, serving with love and care every morning. The little B&B is so lovely that we enjoy lingering around in the morning before setting out to explore Florence.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing the courtyard. Otherwise everything is perfect!

This B&B in Florence had it all! A grand bedroom with antiques and a frescoed ceiling circa 1700s. The dining table in the bedroom groaned under the size and variety of breakfast (we took a picture too). The location is 3 mins walk from the Duomo and close to all important sights. From arrival to departure the staff took excellent care of us. Good old fashioned hospitality in the tradition of the best hoteliers. A welcome with a cold drink. Pleasantly helpful with maps and directions. An umbrella for a rainy afternoon. A meticulously maintained room. Always the offer of a little extra..let me make you a cappuccino, would you like to try a little cheese in your omelette, yes I can do that for you. Albena, Walter, Gina and Luca are warm and fabulous hosts.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a fresco ceiling..maybe they all are.

First time for my family to stay in a B&B. Walter and Albena were enthusiastic and very helpful hosts. There was a slight mix up in our first night so they arranged for one room in a hotel across the street. Not a big issue though. Panerai is a very good base to explore Florence. It's very near the Duomo, about 15 minutes to Ponte Vecchio, 15 minutes to the train station. Breakfast was prepared by Albena and it was a great way to start the day. Rooms were clean, though a bit outdated. Afterall, we were staying in a 16th century building. Wifi worked fine. Our hosts were tops in hospitality.

I can't say enough nice things about Walter and Albena. These folks are just so nice and so accomodating. Thi B&B provides you a full home cooked meal in your room. We took photos of the meal b/c it was fit for kings. The rooms are also large and nicely decorated.

Two things that are worth mentioning. Walter and his friend helped us and a friend return our rental cars. We followed him to the Sixt rental car location and then we were given a ride back. I thought that this act was an incredible gesture.

Also, we checked out at 6 AM because we had to catch a flight from Pisa. Albena, wanting to make sure we had something to eat, prepared a meal the night before for us. Then, she arranged for a taxi to pick us up.

We loved Florence and we loved the location, the proprietors and the entire experience. We will return. Our friends and their kids who stayed in another room had the same experience.
