A great little hotel a short walking distance from the train station and historic centre. The hotel offers simple but elegant rooms at a good price. The street leads directly towards the historic centre and is lined with bars and restaurants.
We enjoyed absolutely everything in this hotel!!! Good old Italian design creates a unique atmosphere. The stuff is absolutely great!!! And the pastry for breakfast... no words to describe it! I recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a genuine Italian experience.
Very welcoming, quiet comfortable room, breakfast excellent with good variety easily best breakfast we have had at various Italian hotels.

I spent 5 nights at Hotel Mario's in July 2017. I selected the hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews and the location. My room was a single with private bathroom. The room was not large, but comfortable with AC. Breakfast includes cereal, yogurt, pastries, fruit, cold meats, cheese, juice, coffee, and tea. They will also make a plain or bacon omelette on request. Hotel Mario's is upstairs and there is no elevator, so this may be a consideration if you have a large amount of luggage or difficulty going up/down stairs.
Just a couple of blocks away from the train station, the hotel is easy walking distance with luggage. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, providing recommendations of local restaurants and sights.
I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.
A fantastic little charming hotel in a great location close to all main sights and SMN train station, handy location to main bus station too if you have planned any trips, the hotel staff are very friendly and the breakfast have good variety and it's great value for money, heard no outside noise, air con worked fine as did wi fi, and the rooms were clean and comfy, would definitely stay here again in Florence and would highly recommend.
