“Quaint and Convenient!”
Reviewed October 14, 2013 via mobile

We recently stayed for two nights at this hotel on the front end of a ten day visit to Italy. The location was ideal for walking to all of the historical highlights of Florence. I especially loved the high beamed ceilings and charm of this hotel and found the staff to be friendly and helpful in meeting our needs. Would recommend for other travelers and stay here again should we get to come back!

We really enjoyed this hotel. The location is very good, we walked from and to the train station (with small carry-on), to the cathedral and to all the museums and attractions.
The staff was really friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with problems and suggestions. They made our reservations for the museums and we took a biking tour at their suggestion and had a very god time. It felt surreal to be biking in such a beautiful city. At times it was also very exciting with the amount of people and cars on the streets, but overall it was a lot of fun.
Breakfast was adequate: coffee, different juices, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, boiled eggs, granola, and yogurts.
Our room was very clean, spacious and cute. It had a comfortable bed, big bathroom with wood shutter windows that we kept open, an armoire and a desk.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

This hotel was absolutely amazing!! It has everything you could want in a hotel: great, safe location; beautiful and spacious rooms; delicious food; and the staff is unbelievably kind, warm, welcoming, and accommodating. They were genuinely interested in our visit and what all we had planned and they were more than happy to provide any recommendations - which by the way, they have great taste in restaurants. Our stay at this hotel was beyond what we had expected and it made our trip all the better.

We could not fault this lovely hotel - very central, spotlessly clean in every area, and fantastic service from all staff. Nothing was too much trouble, from the minute I sent our first email enquiry to the minute we left. They booked us into tours of busy museums, made dinner reservations and even did our airline checkin and boarding passes - fabulous service! Really interesting decor and artwork gave the hotel a very personal feel. Breakfast each morning was fresh and plentiful, with excellent coffee. And everything was no more than a ten minute walk from our front door. A really great stay.

Besides being in a great location close to everything, the staff is just amazingly helpful. My husband had left some clothes at the last hotel so we inquired at the desk about where to shop. They said no need, and called the last hotel and arranged to have the things shipped. And there was no charge!

We had a junior suite and loved it. Very Florentine in decor, spacious and clean. Breakfast was good with excellent coffee and a variety of breads and pastries, cheese, hard boiled eggs, cereal, etc. The jam was so good I brought some home. The restaurant suggestions we asked for were excellent.

Can't say enough about this place - would definitely recommend it! It's away from the noisy streets for good sleeping.

Room Tip: Opt for a junior suite if you're staying for more than a couple of nights.

This was our second visit to this wonderful hotel. The location is great, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless and well maintained with all current conveniences (like a universal charger that will charge your phones, laptops, etc. all at the same time). Breakfast offers a wide variety of optoins.

We highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: The suites are perfect for a family.

We were given a spacious room with a king size bed and separate sitting area. The room also had an enclosed (interior) outdoor sitting area. The decor in the room was standard but the hotel itself had interesting art all over the place--from paintings to dressed mannequins, etc---very cool. The breakfast was standard Euro stuff (meat, cheese, bread), but we did appreciate that they featured local products--nice touch-and the made to order coffee/espresso was much appreciated! The shower had good pressure and we never ran out of hot water--the bed was "better than average" when compared to other hotels we stayed at on our trip. The best feature of this hotel is the location! It's located just far enough away from the Duomo to weed out the huge tourist crowds--but still close enough (8-10 minute walk for a 30 something) to be convenient. Very safe and populated area. About a 15 minute walk to train station. Staff was incredibly friendly and provided some great suggestions (do NOT miss at least walking through the Florence market if you enjoy food or cooking). Hotel very reponsive to email when I was confirming reservation before trip and also got a follow-up email when we returned home with well wishes--thanks!! We'd definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for an exterior balcony if available. They have an elevator.
