We stayed at this hotel in the past and had a really lovely set of rooms. This time around we booked a quadruple and were rather disappointed. The room was very plain, and it was not set up truly as a quadruple. There were the two standard twins and then a couple extra beds set awkwardly crosswise in the room with no bedside stands or reading lamps. This might be OK for teens, but for 4 adults it was a real letdown. We still love the location, but . . .

Stayed here last year and had a better experience. Perhaps it was because everything was busier this year in Florence. Location is great - close to the train, the sights, lots of restaurants, but that's where the "good" ended.

The wifi was useless. After a number of visits to the front desk it was agreed that they would credit the €8 that I had paid for 24 hours ( free everywhere else I stayed).

The beds were uncomfortable - sag in the middle like they had been used by elephants.

Tried to move the temp for the AC up and was told it would not go above 22C - "just open the window if it's too cold". Probably not an issue in most places but my room was on the first floor overlooking a busy street. Had to flip the circuit breaker to turn it off entirely.

Was looking forward to Florence again but the hotel stay took away from the overall experience.

Won't go back to this hotel again.

We were so fortunate that this excellent hotel would accept a school group of 24 girls and treat them in exactly the same way as their other guests. Such a high standard of service; such wonderful breakfast spreads; so clean; such comfortable, big squashy sofas in the reception and bar area; so perfectly located near the station and also the town centre and Mercato Centrale. A big thank you to the Hotel Corona d'Italia. Faultless.

Room Tip: The rooms are very spacious. Perhaps consider asking whether or not your room faces the street or t...

Our room was on the first floor directly above the street market but thanks to the double glazing we didn't hear a thing. The hotel is 5 minutes from the main railway station and 8 minutes from the Cathedral. The area is safe so don't worry about returning to the hotel once it is dark. The room was fine though the bathroom was a little small and disappointing, particularly the shower. Breakfast was good with a wide selection. Could have done with free wifi - it was the only place we stopped that didn't offer it as standard. The prices in Florence are reasonable and there are good quality hotels everywhere so when I return I will probably look for a four star. Nevertheless this is worth serious consideration.

The room was small which usually isn't a problem for us except there was no room to put a second person's suitcase. We had to put it on the desk under a lamp which meant we couldn't open the suitcase without taking it off the desk. Very inconvenient.
The shower was the worst shower I have ever used. The shower head was old and dribbled out the water. You could change the height for a person of a max height of about 5'4". I don't know what you would do if you were a tall man. The water also sprayed directly into the shower curtain which meant that the floor would get wet by the time the second person showered.

It was very clean and the breakfast was good with a decent variety of options. The people at the front desk were helpful with any question we had. Overall a good visit though the shower made the few days difficult.

We stayed as a family here whilst on a Riviera travel experience. We stayed for 3 nights.

The hotel is very clean and tidy, however is slightly old fashioned and could do with an update!

We had breakfast included for our stay at the hotel. You could say it was lacking in choice. They had toast, some cakes, a few choices of cereal, a bit of fruit and cheese. However, there was know sign of a full English! I myself prefer continental but this was limited too.

The staff at the hotel were lovely and always happy to help, which made the stay much nicer!
