First of all excellent position and very busy, which we took as a good sign. The waiter was very brusque and tried to chivy us into ordering within a few minutes of taking a seat. Once I apologised for taking some time to choose our food, he softened a little in his attitude!
Initially the drinks looked very pricey, however the large beer at 11 euros a glass is the biggest glass I have ever seen and must be over a litre so not as bad as initially thought. They have wines in half bottles about 10 euros which, for its position on the square, is very reasonable. The house white and red were perfectly adequate. I don't think you can go wrong with the house wines when in such a region!!
We wanted a pizza hence choosing a pizzeria and we were not disappointed with the quality. Can recommend the atomico for the spicy food lovers amongst us.
However I ordered the seafood pizza and promptly removed the mussels as I had a distinct feeling they did not taste right, almost dirty. However the other seafood tasted ok.
We did not fancy a menu dessert so we asked for cantucci and il santo which the waiter was keen to serve us when we enquired about it.
All in all the atmosphere was carried along by the square, a band was playing a mixture of classical and contemporary music, when mixed with the warm evening air, pizza and wine made for a memorable evening.
I would eat here again, just be wary of the mussels!!
