“It was great. But breakfast.. ”
Reviewed August 10, 2014 via mobile

Perfect location. Breakfast a bit average (paying 6 euros for overdone poached eggs in a 5* hotel is pretty poor) , but made up for by the incredible room (we had the Tuscan deluxe and it was lovely).

If would have been nice to have the concierge acknowledge it was our honeymoon with a token gesture or something.

Last time I was in Florence was in 2005 and stayed at the Bernini Palace Hotel for 1 week. The rooms are so elegant that you never want to leave. The location is perfect and in walking distance to many sights, shopping & restaurant's plus it is very quiet. There is a large room where you have breakfast with many assorted items which are all fresh. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel and will definitely go back!!

We have stayed 3 nights at the Bernini, great boutique hotel with all the service needed, excellent location as everyone here agree, perfect service and wonderful breakfast. There are several rooms type in the hotel and mainly 2 parts the Tuscan part that is "old style" and the modern part. The rooms are very comfort and in general we had really good time and will try to be back.

Bernini Palace Hotel is in the perfect location in Florence. Super close to all of the sights in Florence, but not directly in the in the 24-hour tourist noise. You can walk out the front door, pick any direction, and see amazing history and art. We are used to driving in Europe, but I'm glad we did not attempt driving to Bernini.
The hotel itself is 5-star. The most comfortable bed we have ever slept on in Europe. The rooms are quiet which is itself a great attribute. The staff was fantastic. The décor was luxurious. Ultimately, the location is a big factor in what makes Bernini Palace a great value.

Just back from our 3rd visit to Florence. We flew direct to from London City Airport and booked the flight and hotel with Briotish Airways, transfer from airport to hotel was 25 euros. I upgraded to a deluxe room but was pleasently surprised to be put in room 115 which was a lovely room on what I believe is their Tuscan floor, if you get this room you will have no complaints!
The hotel location is perfect, the hotel is very clean and the staff very friendly. One of the reasons we booked this hotel was because of the good reviews of breakfast, well something must have changed recently. There was a reasonable pastry selection, however the hot food options were very poor and unappetising and it would have been nicer for the fruit to have been fresh and not tinned. We had to order pancakes and ommeletts each day which were fine however wasn't happy to have an invoice for 48 Euro's at check out. Also on the website are pictures of the Terrace with a hot tub, there was no mention of this anywhere in the hotel and although we didn't look too hard we never found it.
In summary we would happiliy stay at the hotel again but if you like a nice relaxing cooked breakfast to start your day then stay somewhere else, the Westin Excelsior have a splendid breakfast, but is more money. You pay your money and take your choice

We stayed at the Bernini Palace Hotel for four nights and couldn't have been happier. The room (we got upgraded to Superior) was extremely comfortable, the bed was excellent, bathroom too, great storage space and I want to give a special mention to the soundproofing. Because this hotel is so very central (two minutes' walk from the Piazza Signoria) noise could be an issue, but the soundproofing was first rate so we slept undisturbed. The breakfast was very good and all the assistance from the desk could not have been bettered. I highly recommend the Bernini Palace.

Very nice location.. Close to all the attractions and shops.. Helpful staff however, I don't consider it a 5 star hotel.. Carpets in the rooms are not clean.. The furniture is old even if the hotel style is classic and antique. Breakfast is less than 3 star hotel no variety at all.
